Wonder if they have plans for more Kim Ki-young releases?

Really wish I should have ordered this Shin Sang-ok Collection like the instant when it came out in 2007 (if I remember correctly). It was available for a very short period of time.

Also, noticed these sets produced by KOFA:

Women on Screen: Understanding Korean Society and Women Through Films
Family on Screen: Understanding Korean Society and Family Through Films

For research purposes and embassies I reckon.

Are some of these films exclusive to these sets, or have they been issued separately for purchase?

The Women on Screen box contained:
[disc 1]. Sweet dream
[disc 2]. Madame Freedom
[disc 3]. Bound by chastity
[disc 4]. Homebound
[disc 5]. Yeong-ja’s Heydays
[disc 6]. Suddenly in the dark of night
[disc 7]. Gilsotteum
[disc 8]. Happy end

I believe # 3, 6, and 7 were not released generally (although there is a Japanese DVD of Gilsotteum)

The Family on Screen box contained:
[disc 1]. Romantic Papa = 로맨스 빠빠
[disc 2]. Rainy days = 장마
[disc 3]. The oldest son = 장남
[disc 4]. The quiet family = 조용한 가족
[disc 5]. A good lawyer’s wife = 바람난 가족
[disc 6]. Family ties = 가족의 탄생
[disc 7]. The host = 괴물
[disc 8]. Punch = 완득이.

Spectrum announced #3 but I don't think there ever was a release. (?)

Thanks for that L.A.

Of the titles listed in the Literature set, I believe only Our Twisted Hero hasn't received a general release on DVD (except in Japan).

I was the one grilling the graphic designer on his post; to sum up, The Bell Tower is already out (though I can't find a retailer carrying it yet) and a Shin Dong-hun boxed set will be out soon, too. He also says Aimless Bullet and Gagman on Blu-ray this November.

Great news about the Shin Dong-hun set!
Re Bell Tower: no one in Koreatown (or even KOFIC, apparently) have seen the title.
Looking forward to those November releases.

Thanks.
Here's a link to a bilingual brochure (pdf) with more info on all of the past and upcoming releases. Evidently, the Gagman and Obaltan BDs will be released on 11/25. Bell Tower and the Shin Dong-jun animation collection will be DVD only on the dates manicsounds mentioned above.

I was going to link the PDF but it was broken at the time. Great that they are releasing early animated works.

Where is the best place to order these films from if I want to catch up on the older releases as well?

Not sure what happened to L.A.'s post, but he mentioned that Shin Dong Hun Animation Collection is also up for preorder at YesAsia.

I deleted the earlier post because the link didn't work (for me at least) and tried to post it again. Sorry for the hassle.

Again it's a shame Seoul Selection stopped selling films, always ordered from there. Oh well.

How's YesAsia, is it convenient?

YesAsia is convenient and shipping is free. Plus there is the buy three Korean discs and get one movie free deal, which they have a selection of 10 or so DVDs that are not the greatest in selection, but it's something!
