I've been eager to see this film for some time even though I've generally been let down by the Vidor films I've sought out.

Good for you than that basically none of his footage is in the final product.

On a question of whether Duel In the Sun will be the roadshow version.

I'll purchase most of these, though I really wish Wertmuller's first film The Lizards was included.

If I'm not mistaken, All Screwed Up, Love & Anarchy and The Seduction of Mimi have all been released on Blu Ray a couple of years ago.

That's right. They were released individually in June 2012 and got bundled together in a box set in Oct 2012.

I'm really excited about those American Film Theatre titles. Hopefully, John Frankenheimer's adaptation of The Iceman Cometh and Tony Richardson's take on Albee's A Delicate Balance will make it to HD as well.

Do the rights revert back to the Samuel Goldwyn Company, which would mean WB, which could be Criterion? Unless, it's another party that owns this.

The last piece of this news is that Kino's got this at $9.99 as part of a Studio Classics sale.

Don't see Criterion going for this, but their release composition's gotten more diverse so who knows?

EDIT: For some reason, my link directly to the KSC sale doesn't work, so I linked to the relevant Bluray.com thread.

It's a bad film and the commentary is more worthwhile than the film it covers. I already unloaded mine a while back and won't miss it when it's gone. It's hard to imagine Criterion or anyone else investing in another release of it
