It's too bad this thread will likely be deleted. Sometimes it's funny to see how quickly threads can devolve into stupidity.

Re: Obnoxious Speculation About What Spine 500 Will Be
Hey I work by myself. Any kind of conversation is intellectually stimulating.
The only other forum I'm on is the one for an online class at school. It's for Children's Literature.
I got into a debate with a woman over Alice in Wonderland this morning. She said the book was inappropriate for children because the Caterpillar smokes a hookah.
I'm also trying to rack up inane posts on this forum since I may be front runner for the Richard Cranium award this year.

Those pics are creepy. Was it from Freaks?

The bottom one, more than likely. But who knows? These guys were bumping into each other in carny's from time to time, one would imagine. Randian's outfit is the same as in Freaks.

Would be a much better release than Fishing With JohnMurdoch wrote:Perhaps this is criterion subliminally telling us that spine 500 will be Herman's Head.

Domino, I would be surprised if you've actually watched that disc. So let's be fair.domino harvey wrote:Would be a much better release than Fishing With JohnMurdoch wrote:Perhaps this is criterion subliminally telling us that spine 500 will be Herman's Head.
If you actually HAVE watched it, then congrats and apologies.

I saw like two of the episodes at someone's house once. I left before a third could begin to catch my bus out of the eighth circle of Hell

Considering that centennial spine numbers mean absolutely nothing... Why bother?

Clearly they're saving Y Tu Mama Tambien for spine #1000.

As long as they're releasing 60s madcap comedies already on blu, why not Casino Royale?Superswede11 wrote:Any specific guesses for the almighty spine #700?

Not that it means anything, but Life Aquatic is 300, so maybe Fantastic Mr Fox because no reason?Superswede11 wrote:Any specific guesses for the almighty spine #700?

Are you one of those who will really enjoy Fantastic Mr. Fox as #700?CSM126 wrote:But man, if it comes out as #701, then fuck it. Not worth buying.chatterjees wrote:I would love to have La Dolce Vita as #700
I am not really crazy about spine number! I just had one issue in my whole Criterion history. I was very upset with #666 choice. It took me few months to get over it. That's being said, if La Dolce Vita is coming from Criterion, I don't want to wait too long for that

Spine #666 is one of the few memorable and really clever ones, actually.

That one and 100 is Beastie Boys and 400 was one of the Jarmusch movies. That's all I remember or care to remembermatrixschmatrix wrote:Spine #666 is one of the few memorable and really clever ones, actually.

Unfortunately, #666 is the only one I remember. What started this #700 topic?domino harvey wrote:That one and 100 is Beastie Boys and 400 was one of the Jarmusch movies. The last one right now is #694. I don't think they can hit 700 in Feb except there is a 3-4 films box set.

Really? I can't think of a better fit for 666. What were you hoping for?chatterjees wrote:Are you one of those who will really enjoy Fantastic Mr. Fox as #700?CSM126 wrote:But man, if it comes out as #701, then fuck it. Not worth buying.chatterjees wrote:I would love to have La Dolce Vita as #700

Ken Russell's The Devils would've been a great choice. I doubt they have the rights to it though.jindianajonz wrote:Really? I can't think of a better fit for 666. What were you hoping for?
