Are any booklets going to be included with the stand-alone editions, or do I need to get the box-set for the written supplements?

Me too. I imagine since I'm not as eager to receive this as I was the Rivette, it will be here within the week!

This thing has been holding up my whole sale order from last December, including the now OOP Audition, so yes, let's hope.

Really? Pre-orders never held up my whole order, they even send each pre-ordered item separately.

I am guessing that they just started doing it recently. I ordered American Horror Project, the book and the Death Walks Twice box together in the same order. They confirmed to me that they are indeed waiting for all the items to be available. Also in another order Lifeforce and Night of the Comet got stuck because they were ordered along with Gangster VIP Collection and Bride of Re-Animator. I don't mind waiting, but it is kind of risky for such bulk orders, especially when they are to be shipped to USA.

You can always place two separate orders when you order many items, then both orders will be eligible for free shipping (do they offer free shipping for orders above 50 GBP worldwide?)

Yes, and I could have placed separate orders but didn't because it had never been an issue before. Oh well, not a big deal.

My set just arrived. It was really well bubble wrapped and in a thick box so those of you in the US shouldn't have any issues (hopefully!) The colours of the booklet pages being coordinated with the relevant films is a nice touch!

The only issue for me is that the current AnyDVD isn't busting through the Region locking so I had to have a quick look on the PS4 in the meantime. Both Ali and Maria Braun looked great at first glance but then I'm sure we all expected nothing less from Arrow these days.

Will the book be replicated in its entirety for the booklets of the individual releases or will there be exclusive content like the comic strips that made up part of the Price/Corman set?

I understand that there won't be any booklets in the individual releases, so the entirety of the book is a box-set exclusive.

I received mine last Friday and it really is superb. Have made it through Ali and Merchant of Four Seasons thus far, which are the 3rd and 4th Fassbinders I've seen, and I am quickly falling in love. Bravo Arrow!

I watched Petra Von Kant the other evening and it looks great. That "slave dress" Petra wears for her date with Karin is one of my favourite film costumes ever, not least for her barely being able to walk in it. Having grown up in Germany in the 70s, this time I was struck by how everybody keeps booking flights for what are relatively short distances within the country. That was the jet-set life I suppose.

I also watched the documentary Role Play of the three lead actresses of the film frankly talking about their life and work with Fassbinder, which was very interesting. I found Hannah Schygulla in particular very insightful. Irm Hermann clearly had the closest and most troubled relationship with him, while Margit Carstensen held herself at a distance and that is reflected in their views of him. The famously complicated relationships Fassbinder had with his collaborators were never out if the tabloids in 70s Germany.

Just got back from vacation and sure enough, it arrived over the weekend. Even less sure what happened with the Rivette set's long journey now

It's not an exact copy but the dress is also a throwback to the one Tierny wears for Chinese New Year in Sternberg's THE SHANGAHI GESTURE.

I'm in the same area and still haven't received mine, either. I never received a shipping email, however, so I'm a little amazed anyone's got their copy already tho. Thanks to What A Disgrace, I'm even more excited to dig into it now.

It's a while ago that I saw The Shanghai Gesture, but I don't remember Gene Tierney wearing anything like this:

...though it would fit the film and it would be a film which Fassbinder may have liked.

Yeah, I didn't get a shipping notice either - just logged into Arrow's site and found it there. Hopefully that does mean it really shipped.

I received my parcel in Atlanta yesterday evening. We have had postal delivery problems in some parts of town, but I think they addressed them where I live.

Have not received mine either (New Jersey, USA). I just checked my orders history on Arrow's site and it says the set has been dispatched on 2016-03-17. There was no confirmation email either. Hopefully, it will be here any day now.
