Mark Damon, star of films like Corman’s The House of Usher
What a coincidence. I was already planning to rewatch House of Usher in tribute to Corman, and now it will be a double tribute.

Distributing films like The Tim Drum and Dersu Uzala alone would’ve made him a legend

Why am I only learning after his death that Corman (via his studio New World Pictures) distributed Dersu Uzala and The Tin Drum (and also Autumn Sonata and Fantastic Planet) in the US?

I think the funniest thing I’ve discovered about Corman is that if he wasn’t Roger Corman, he’d probably never be caught dead watching like at least half of the films Corman actually directed.
