I really did not dig this movie, but Francis is Queen so I’m down for this.

I really resent McDormand flaunting her ableism by asking everyone to "stand".

Seriously. And as a dubiously gender conforming lady, I am loving how all of her awards season wardrobe hasn’t been performatively feminine and has just been uniquely her.

I’ll always be kinda sad her career went by the way side. RIP Faye as a powerhouse

I think it's first billed producer's last name. Could be wrong. Was wondering the same.

Expected but so dull. So so so dull. I want to meet the people who found this film specifically worthy of such recognition.

My first completely correct prediction year ever and it's the year where I thought there was the most up in the air

Up in the Air should have won

At least that would have been interesting!!

I like del Toro as a person and I like the idea of injecting some juice in his filmmaking career. This is the best result of those two but it's certainly not the most entertaining

Are we on to complaining about what really should have won? Because it's The Florida Project.

That and Phantom Thread are my best pictures of the year, and what else truly matters?

I was rooting for the Lady Bird upset, but this is ok.

Once I saw Split wasn’t nominated for anything, I should have boycotted the ceremony.

I didn't love The Shape of Water but I'm OK with it winning. Overall it was a year with a lot of films that I liked but not much that I really loved, so I wasn't really invested in any of the Best Picture nominees in particular.

It is a bummer that it didn’t get anything.

I def have won the office Oscar pool. Not that it’s hard considering no one at my dry place of work has seen anything so I’m the only one not stabbing in the dark.

I'm pretty sure I won my Oscar pool (just missed a few categories), so I'm happy. Well, with the Oscars - not too happy about what's now happened with Italy.

The Shape of Water is extremely My Shit so I'm very happy that it won, even if I think Dunkirk and Lady Bird are better films.
