Thanks for the tip but the link was to a trailer so your point is rather misplaced.whaleallright wrote: ↑Fri Sep 07, 2018 7:06 pmI liked this movie too. (It's on DVD, btw, and can be had for pennies, so there's not much point in watching a YouTube rip seemingly culled from VHS.)

Re: Burt Reynolds (1936-2018)
Interesting story about Sayles's involvement is that he wrote the screenplay and wasn't keen on directing it, but years before the film ultimately got made he had a meeting with some producers who wanted to do the film, but he disliked them so much in the initial part of the meeting that he got sort of pushy with them to sink any prospects of it happening. Then he ended up thinking that Forsyth made a very good film out of it.hearthesilence wrote: ↑Fri Sep 07, 2018 3:48 pmActually looks pretty good, John Sayles wrote the script. Also a cursory search turns up a Vimeo account owned by the actor who plays his apprentice - be warned, he uploaded the ending to the film and just seeing the opening still is a pretty big spoiler.

I highly recommend documentary The Bandit about Reynolds and Hal Needham: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4819738/

Also, there really isn’t a bad Golden Girls episode, but I just revisited the one with Burt, and it’s hilarious.

I heard he was good on an episode of King of Queens. I vaguely remember Evening Shade, but can't think of anywhere it would be accessible now.
