New York, I Love You (Various, 2009)
From the producers who put together Paris Je T'Aime. It is currently in pre-production.
The directors attached, however, are far less compelling:
Fatih Akin
Yvan Attal
Zach Braff
Albert Hughes
Allen Hughes
Wen Jiang
Joshua Marston
Anthony Minghella
Mira Nair
Chan-wook Park
Brett Ratner
Andrei Zvyagintsev

Akin and Attal are interesting, and it depends on which Hughes brothers show up (hopefully the 'Menace...' rather than 'From Hell' version). But I couldn't stand Garden State, and Brett Ratner's a talentless hack.Antoine Doinel wrote:From the producers who put together Paris Je T'Aime. It is currently in pre-production.

I want to see Topeka, I love you. We've seen enough films about New York.

Oh no, OKC is much too big a city. I want art that takes risks, dammit!!! Like doing 18 shorts about a small town that doesn't even have eighteen streets. That would take some fucking balls!! Let 'em film in Prague (pronounced with a long 'a'), Oklahoma. It'd just be still shots of rusting refrigerators sitting in people's front yards. That and some old guy whittling.domino harvey wrote:I can see this trend a few years down the road: OKC, You're OKjbeall wrote:I want to see Topeka, I love you. If they had any nous, they'd have hired Patrick Keiller - just imagine him doing for New York what he's already done for London!
