Really? I thought it looked quite good, on par with other indie romantic comedy-drama's. It has a hell of a cast to boot.

I don't think it's supposed to be a comedy.

oh Jesus, they really massacred I Wanna Be Your Dog (even more than Carnival Cruise lines did with Lust For Life)... Yet another reason to skip this one.

Boy A

Directed by John Crowley

The film looks interesting. The only thing that bugs me is the similarity in song with Mansell's "The Fountain" soundtrack. Especially the last little riff in the trailer.

I was really tempted to post that after you posted the one for the new Transporter flick. It looks like it could be really good, or just train-wreck awful. I don't think I need to say which one I'm headed towards.

seeing Morgan Freeman say 'Mother-Fucker' is quite possibly the most comical thing I've seen in years. It's like they're trying to turn him into Samuel L. Jackson.

Wanted looks train-wreck bad. Do we really need another "bullet time" film? And judging by the trailers, most of the film is going to be Angelina Jolie narrowly escaping being decapitated by buses, cars, trains and bridges.

And let's not forget showing off her various tattoos...

Caught this yesterday. Definitely in my 2008 Top 10.

Barring any Madonna or Kaballah cameos, this looks alright.

Yeah, it definitely looks closer to his first two films than, say, Swept Away.

A guy I work with worked on the film last year scouting locations and said the script was very much in the same vein of the first two films.

Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea trailer (with horrible commentary and picture in picture reaction shots)

Miyazaki's new film. Looking beautiful, and more similar to Totoro than his recent work.

It's like they made a movie out of deleted scenes from Walker, Texas Ranger.

Ugh, Keanu Reeves is in it? This is made even worse by how the director is the guy who did The Exorcism of Emily Rose.
