Little known fact: Cuba Gooding, Jr. has Comic Sans written into his contracts now.

Finally Rachel Dratch and Cuba Gooding, Jr. together! And with what I'm guessing is Abigail Breslin's brother in it, it seems nepotism has no age limit.

To be fair, Spencer Breslin has been acting since he was 5 and even had a (presumably tongue-in-cheek) "executive producer" credit at age 8.

I don't know, it looks like a step up for Cuba.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua (Gosnell, 2008)

So, I know we all witnessed the horrific trailer before seeing the AMAZING Wall-E. However, even though it looked bad, the trailer made me laugh pretty hard. Maybe it was just me. There is something about those CGI mouths.

Your thoughts :D

Keep in mind this is a Disney film, right after a Pixar masterpiece. I think this is box office suicide.

Vincent Ward returns with Rain of the Children. This film will be screening at the Auckland International Film Festival. It's one of my most anticipated releases this year. Some more info on the film from the festival website:
"Vincent Ward's (River Queen, Map of the Human Heart) deeply personal and incredibly moving film unravels and re-imagines the story of Puhi, the Tuhoe woman he documented in 1978 for his early film In Spring One Plants Alone. Then she was 80 and caring for her schizophrenic adult son, and Ward was 21, a young art student capturing her way of life. While not the subject of his earlier film, Puhi believed herself to be cursed, and this unknowable curse is what preoccupies Ward now. Puhi, he discovers, was an extraordinary woman. Chosen by Tuhoe prophet Rua Kenana to marry his son, she survived the 1916 police raid on Rua's Maungapohatu community and went on to have 14 children. Cutting between early footage, his own to-camera narration, contemporary interviews with Tuhoe descendents, and magnificently recreated historical sequences (featuring Rena Owen as the older Puhi among a superb cast of Maori actors); Ward reveals both the heartrending background of Puhi's belief in the curse, and her lasting power over him." — Clare Stewart, Sydney Film Festival 2008
For those interested, In Spring One Plants Alone is featured along with Ward's other excellent short film State of Siege on the Australian DVD of Vigil.

Is this a comic retelling of the life of Paul Giamatti?

i would never have expected markie mark to star in a comic-book style action flick. But hey! He finally gets to act the EXACT same as his other films. He was able to get away from that thing called acting they made him do in "The Happening".

I don't remember any flying monsters and illuminating skies in Max Payne  Granted I only know Max Payne 2, but the thing was the closest you could get to film noir while mindlessly killing bad guys. Music was great too.

The first game had a lot of insane gibberish about "the flesh of fallen angels", so that's probably where it comes from.

I hope it ends with Max realizing he's been in a movie the entire time.

Here's hoping this trailer gets the upgrade and is awarded its own thread.

Finally, something for viewers who find Kung Fu Hustle "too cerebral." Kitschy garbage like this is the final peal of vomit before Cinema officially keels over and dies.

Hmm I have mixed feelings about this project, but at least this trailer is better than the very Fox Searchlight-y previous incarnation. I'm very glad to see most of the grotesque and graphic sex from the novel is included.

Big screen only? Why make a red band trailer (though I'm glad studios are doing this more now)

also this looks terrible.

A joke. Also presumably to stir up audience interest by making it seem forbidden, like it's too much even for a red-banded trailer.

Ok this looks really good but no one should watch this trailer since it's full of spoilers (what were they thinking?) and they should really keep it a secret that the guy who wrote the grudge wrote this. Not advertise it.
