Far from underwhelming - granted, I haven't seen enough deserving films yet to fill up a top-ten, but from what I have seen the highs are very high indeed. Alphabetically:

01. A Cock and Bull Story (Michael Winterbottom)
02. Ghosts (Christian Petzold)
03. I Am Guilty (Christoph Hochhäusler)
04. Loft (Kiyoshi Kurosawa)
05. Serenity (Joss Whedon)
06. Sleeper (Benjamin Heisenberg)
07. Tale of Cinema (Hong Sang-soo)

Yet to see: Notre Musique, The Unpolished, Kings and Queen, The Wayward Cloud, Dead Man's Bluff, L'Enfant, A History of Violence, A Scanner Darkly, The Departed, Three Times, Mary, The Sun, Who's Camus Anyway?,The Red Cockatoo (Dominik Graf), Room (Kyle Henry), etc. etc.
