WALL·E (Andrew Stanton, 2008)
Pixar just keeps rolling out great concepts and their next film looks like it'll be no exception. If only every studio cared this much about their films.
Here's the teaser.

I don't know what to tell you guys, but I saw the WALL*E presentation by Andrew Stanton at Comicon. This film, aesthetically, is so far beyond anything Disney or PIXAR have attempted in so long... I just don't even know how they're going to convince parents to see it. A nearly silent Sci-Fi throwback to 2001: A Space Oddyssey that takes a harsh, head on approach to environmentalism and out-of-control commercialism.
Ben Burtt was also on hand to do a live sound effects presentation that he did in coordination with a great number of stills (environments like Earth & space) and a/v demos of all the robot characters. They even had a extraordinary clip that was about two sequences in length with a film burning effect when it was over.
The entire show was so far beyond my expectations, when I already had so many based off the rumors that had leaked earlier this year. This may also be the movie I'm looking forward to the most next year.

I don't want to start a whole new thread for this film, but Leslie Iwerks' (granddaughter of Ub) new documentary The Pixar Story seems to have slipped under the radar. An unheralded theatrical roll-out began earlier this month. It's only playing for three days in each city. You can see the screening schedule at the official site.
