Does anyone own Louie Season 1 on this idiotic Blu-ray/DVD flipper system fox is pushing now? is it even worth it? I've heard nothing but bad things about them, but this is the first title that I've wanted where it's been an issue.

Yes, it's fine if you relax and just enjoy what's actually on the discs

I've had serious playback problems with the second disc and parts of the 1st. I had to watch most of the second disc on my computer's DVD drive since the Blu-ray had so many problems skipping and stopping.

very helpful as usual. as manicsounds noted, these have had notorious problems actually playing, so I was asking if that had been rectified. your need to post condescending smarmy responses to everything and everyone is getting very tiresome.

I didn't know the complete series of Married with Children was available for so cheap.

It's on sale at Amazon for 35.95. I'll stick with catching the occasional rerun on the myriad of cable channels it's on.

Being one of my favorite all time shows it's a must have for me.
Let's hope a Roseanne complete series comes out.

Does anyone know anything about the The Golden Palace, and its lack of a release? I assume it's just due to lack of exposure or interest, but I'm sure they could put a budget product out that would sell based on the success of TGG and Betty White.

Did you ever see it? I think everyone involved is pretty embarrassed by it. I wouldn't be surprised if all the work Betty White's been doing lately is so that she can keep paying to suppress it.

I watched the first two episodes on YouTube and I thought the concept and tone were just off enough to be entertaining. Hopefully we'll see it eventually, because I found it to be a fascinatingly odd piece of TV.

Series' success can sometimes be seen by the media studios choose to release it on.

The Killing (American version) Season 1 was released by Fox last March on DVD and Blu-ray. Season 2 is getting released only on DVD-R in April.
Raising Hope Season 1 was on DVD, but Season 2 got downgraded to DVD-R.
Party of Five Seasons 1-3 were on DVD, but Season 4 got released on DVD-R in March.
The New Adventures of Old Christine was on DVD for seasons 1-2, but down to DVD-R for seasons 3-5. Yet, George Lopez is getting regular DVD release for Season 3 in July.

Shout Factory has got the rights to Pee-Wee's Playhouse and is remastering the whole series and Christmas special in high def for a Blu-ray release next year. Paul Reubens insisted on shooting the show on 16mm film rather than video, so it should look great.

EDIT: Shout will also be releasing -- I shit you not -- a 98-disc Power Rangers set in December.

Wow, Reubens was promising that there'd be a special edition second version of the complete series so long ago that I figured it was just wishful thinking, but there it is! \:D/

Shout is releasing Power Rangers before Dynaman? that's criminal! Lucky a few (poor VHS transfers) have been uploaded to Youtube:
episode 1: The Lizard of Oz
episode 3: The Day Of The Dolphin: Flipper's Revenge
episode 5: The Seven Loves Of Lucky Pierre (my favorite).

Now 13 months since they began recording commentaries, and still no announcement? And coming up on six years since the release of the previous set. I know everyone's busy and all but jeezus.

In case anyone is interested, I think the CBS Evening News did a piece on the I Love Lucy Blu-ray.
