Re: Star Wars Franchise (1977-∞)
Are those emails real? Is that really the script they were putting together? Or was that some experimental art project where they were seeing how much they could mess with the big studios?
Edit: always read the fine print at the bottom.
I have to say I laughed while reading these; not to say it would be a funny movie--just the outrageousness of Drew Barrymore suddenly appearing. I wish instead of Ron Howard they could hire a Bunuel hologram to direct this thing.

Well, that definitely would have been an original movie.

Michael K Williams has been cut from the Han Solo movie. Good to hear someone speaking up publicly for Lord and Miller too:
“I felt great about what I created with the directors that I worked with,” said Williams, who was cast in the Han Solo origin story by original helming duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who exited in June. “It is what it is.”

Now we definitely know this won't be good. Could anything by improved by less MKW?

Paul Bettany has been cast in Williams' role-- now there's an actor I have not thought about in yearsdomino harvey wrote:Michael K Williams has been cut from the Han Solo movie. That's only because Jennifer Connelly helped you to stop seeing him.

He's also playing Ted Kaczynski in Discovery's more-interesting-than-it-should-be "Manhunt: Unabomber."

Cue the black-actor-replaced-with-white-actor PC outrage on social media?

So weird to see the press adopting "A Star Wars Story" as part of the title when the last film didn't actually use it.

The photoshops of this have been pretty great if you're into that sort of thing.
The reveal with the sign feels comical to me. It's meant to be a big reveal but it just sort of sputters of of the gate.

Re: Star Wars Franchise (1977-∞)
All the marketing materials, posters, novelization, trailers, etc. used the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story moniker but you are correct that the actual title card simply said "Rogue One" (and in a rather bland font). I wonder if Solo will simply say "Solo" for the title card though. Somehow, it just doesn't seem to carry as much weight on its own.Ribs wrote:So weird to see the press adopting "A Star Wars Story" as part of the title when the last film didn't actually use it.

Wouldn't want anyone to confuse it with any other film which perhaps has the same name...

According to an interview in Variety, John Williams is composing a single theme for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Interesting as Williams had four movies to write a theme for Han Solo, and never did.
