Wouldn't mind Long Strange Trip making it to blu-ray... but that's probably just me.

Why does no one think this is just the Dead? That's what people call the band...

Obviously, a reference to the 1951 women's wrestling/noir crime film Racket Girls.

I never know these, even the in-retrospect-obvious ones, but ... Women in Love?
Edit: Ha! That's what happens when I search to see whether it's already been released!

I don't have any guess, but the perspective and depth of field seem unusually complicated for a newsletter clue.

I feel like it’s meant to show it’s indoors, for whatever reason.jedgeco wrote:I don't have any guess, but the perspective and depth of field seem unusually complicated for a newsletter clue.

Dammit, I guessed it as soon as I saw it and still wasn't fast enough. It's Women in Love. For people who don't know tennis, "love" means zero points. Note the prominent score of 0-0. There's a recent article in the NYT about the restoration showing at Metrograph in NYC.

Uh, no, your first guess was obviously right. It's already been rumored that Criterion have the rights.yoshimori wrote:This is better, I think. Drats, another on I didn't get.Clarence wrote:Loves of a Blonde?

I think it's Loves of a Blonde. Not filling in a pretty large hairdo seems like the final piece of the puzzle.Werewolf by Night wrote:Dammit, I guessed it as soon as I saw it and still wasn't fast enough. It's Women in Love. Or it's actually the first double-clue, maybe? I can't believe I'm saying that.

When was the last time a newsletter clue was for an upgrade? Not one that was OOP like Silence of the Lambs.Clarence wrote:Loves of a Blonde?

They used to do it all the time, but they'd tint it blue.
