That Breer situation remains mysterious.

Thanks for the info – so exciting. And a new film by Bokanowski! I had no idea that one even existed.

Received a nice little bundle from Re:Voir today. Haven't watched anything yet, but I had to comment on the extraordinary packaging of Peter Gidal's Condition of Illusion (a collection of shorts from the 1960s to the present day), which takes to extremes the transparent packaging idea of the Index label and the first Faust album. The booklet creates a 3D drop-shadow effect behind the cover and is itself entirely transparent (there's a loose translucent page that you can tuck behind each page in order to actually read the text).

Wow! That's beautiful. The future of home media lies in this kind of artistry, perhaps.

From Twitter: "our next Blu-Ray/DVD of Philippe Garrel's "Marie pour mémoire" (1967)) + "Les Enfants Désaccordés" (1964) + "Actua 1"(1968)."

I wont have time to watch the whole film until the weekend but I picked up Marie pour mémoire and first impressions are that it looks very good. Unfortuately the disc is 1080i/interlaced.

In addition to the two Bokanowski features, it looks like Re:voir snuck in a BD release of a complete shorts collection as well, and you can currently buy the lot of them for a 25% bulk discount!

Well I've been buying their releases for years and this is the first time I remember seeing any kind of discount at all. I was already going to order these but now it's practically buy 2 get 1 free.

Marcel Hanoun's seminal Une simple histoire is out on DVD on the 5th of March, according to Re:voir's social media. Looks beautiful, particularly in comparison with the murky online copy that most people would be familiar with.

Is there anywhere besides their website to purchase Re:Voir titles. I have tried to access their site on multiple occasions the last two weeks with no luck (and yes I have tried different computers/browsers). I keep getting 403 Forbidden errors.

Strange, their site seems to be working fine for me. In any case, the BFI Film Shop keeps a lot of their product in stock, though you have to email them to get a listing of current inventory.
