this along with the other boxes (Harryhausen) will receive non-limited editions too without the DVDs & Booklet?MichaelB wrote:and The Sinbad Trilogy.

Re: Indicator
Or the box - they’ll be individual editions. Very safe to assume that the Sinbad films at least will get this treatment.

Re: Indicator
In the case of Sinbad, it's more of a book than a booklet.

It is, and this definitely won’t survive the box going OOP.

Re: Indicator
Is the Harryhausen Vol. 2 set close to selling out? I just noticed that Amazon doesn't have any copies in stock.

Re: Indicator
The email today listed these titles:
EYES OF LAURA MARS
CHARLEY VARRICK
MICKEY ONE
THE STONE KILLER
BUNNY LAKE IS MISSING
THE SINBAD TRILOGY
(Who'd have guessed Mickey One to be a relatively quick seller?)

Indicator
It wasn’t included on their recent (a few hours ago) low-stock warning list.
But since you’ve brought up the subject, these titles really are down to the last few hundred apiece:
Bunny Lake is Missing
Charley Varrick
Eyes of Laura Mars
Mickey One
The Sinbad Trilogy
The Stone Killer
Given the speed with which they’ve sold, once they’ve gone OOP all are likely to be replaced with cut-down editions containing the same Blu-ray disc (inc extras) but omitting the booklet, the reversible sleeve and, if applicable, the DVD. And the Sinbad films will be released individually.

Re: Indicator
Michael--are you saying it is NOT guaranteed that all Indicator titles, once OOP, will get a slimmed down edition? If they aren't selling fast enough they wouldn't get that treatment?

Re: Indicator
Speed of selling out was always a factor from the start - if something takes years to limp over the finishing line, there’s clearly not a good case for printing more. But all of these have come close to selling out in under a year (in a couple of cases way under), so I’d be surprised if they weren’t reissued.
Incidentally, second editions of Hardcore and The New Centurions are out later this month, which will mean that all five current OOP titles have been replaced.

Re: OOP Indicator
Couple quick questions:
1. Is there any possibility of any OOP LE's coming back into print at some point?
2. When you mention how quickly something sells out, is there a specific timeframe or rate that is considered? Bunny Lake Is Missing is mentioned as being likely to get a regular BD release, but it has taken about 15 months to sell out. Is that a problem that could lead to it not getting a BD release? Or, for older releases like Guess Who's Coming to Dinner (oldest release it seems without selling out), is it unlikely to get a regular BD release due to how long it has taken to sell out?

Re: OOP Indicator
Retailers might find they have unexpected stocks of them at a later date, but essentially once they're gone, they're gone. Although if you're desperate to get hold of something, info@powerhousefilms.co.uk might be able to help (but absolutely no guarantees).KJones77 wrote:Couple quick questions:

I don't think those calculations have been precisely made yet, but it's certainly true that if something takes several years to sell out, that strongly suggests that there's little public appetite for a follow-up edition. That said, everything that's sold out to date has already been replaced with a standard edition (same disc as the LE, but BD-only and no booklet or reversible sleeve), and I believe everything on the current near-OOP list is being lined up for similar treatment.2. Re: OOP Indicator
Has the Charley Varrick LE blu-ray really gone OOP? It's currently listed as "in stock" in the Powerhouse website, and I was wondering if the copy that's listed on Amazon isn't actually the LE, too...

Re: OOP Indicator
There's only ever been the limited edition. As far as I'm aware, stocks are currently low and dwindling, but it's not formally OOP yet.
Standard editions won't be produced until after the limited edition has definitely gone OOP, and this has been publicly announced.

Re: OOP Indicator
...and The Sinbad Trilogy is all but certain to be the next OOP title: they have fewer than 150 now.
Not to mention the first OOP box - and taking a year to sell out is pretty much what was envisioned, so that's excellent news.

Any news regarding these titles (other than Charley Varrick, of course) and how close they are to going OOP? Any other titles getting close to selling out?MichaelB wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 1:02 pmIt wasn’t included on their recent (a few hours ago) low-stock warning list.

An Amazon issue, unsurprisingly. But I suspect you knew that.

Oh, no.
I didn't have enough money and I bought only the Harryhausen vol. 2 box in the sale.
Hope it gets reissued.

Re: OOP Indicator
So it didn’t have a dvd? It’s still on Amazon UK (blu-Ray only), so I assumed it was already reissued.
