whatever it takes to nail this box down as best it can be, I totally respect it. it's an audacious project as is, can't wait to see it on the shelf whenever it happens

I ordered the Feuillade set and The Champions together. They already shipped The Champions two days ago. So presumably you should get a shipping notice soon
yoloswegmaster wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 11:11 amI'm more annoyed since I ordered this alongside The Champions. No idea if they will ship it separately now, so I will have to cancel my order and place separate ones now.

Funny you mention that since I just got my shipping confirmation from Eureka for The Champions an hour ago. No need to cancel!jheez wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 2:54 pmI ordered the Feuillade set and The Champions together. They already shipped The Champions two days ago. what's the packaging like? is it scanovos inside the hard box? having to wait a little until this and BFI Seven Samurai and Watership Down come in to Orbit to get my copy

awesome, can't wait to see. I believe that's a Eureka first? definitely looks like a Nick Wrigley job overall, so it would make sense that he bring over that top shelf design he uses for the Indicator boxes
EDIT: missed the part where he did confirm it on his site. what a gift this man is

The Gaumont restorations of Tih Minh and Judex are stunning. Les Vampires is also nice. Assuming those are the same here and that Fantomas looks good, yes, it’s up there for release of the year. The extras look wonderful, too.

Any problems with the digipaks - like do the discs fall out or are they too tough to get out or is it just right?

OMG, the set looks fantastic! I inquired with Eureka about my order's status, and they replied that although the release date is still officially delayed until 11th of November, they have received some stock early, and my order would be shipped soon. I got a dispatch confirmation shortly after. Really looking forward to this.

I received my set today. I'm over the moon at how good Judex looks. The improvement over the 20+ year old Flicker Alley DVD is monumental.

Nick Wrigley is a national treasure. A few weeks ago I was rummaging in my loft and found this quad poster of his that I got (free!) with the 2012 Masters of Cinema blu of Double Indemnity. Framed the beauty immediately.

And I bundled mine with Häxan and Three Heresies by Bunũel boxes, guess I'll actually have something to open at Xmas despite doing all my shopping early.

Re: Louis Feuillade: The Complete Crime Serials (1913-1918)
Just received mine earlier today and it is a beauty. Though I do wish Eureka did try to put some protection with the packaging, since the outer half-sleeve has a very noticeable rip in it and there is a big dent in the corner of the box. I was also surprised that the discs on the right side of each digipak weren't properly placed, so the discs were face-down on top of the discs on the left side.

Re: Louis Feuillade: The Complete Crime Serials (1913-1918)
I missed out on the Double Indemnity poster but do have the Touch of Evil one (also got for free from Fopp Bristol, IIRC). Anywhere you'd recommend getting it framed that isn't overly expensive?
As for the Feuillade set, unfortunately I've got too much on so have cancelled it for the time being. Will pick it up next month or January, as it does look brilliant and it'd be a shame to miss out.

Re: Louis Feuillade: The Complete Crime Serials (1913-1918)
When I received mine in the mail in Canada, I found the Fantomas disc had come loose. They feel easy to remove, especially in comparison to something like the Alien four-film box or Zatoichi DVD/Blu set.hearthesilence wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 10:27 pmAny problems with the digipaks - like do the discs fall out or are they too tough to get out or is it just right?
Oddly, I'd almost describe the box design as "Indicator"-esque, if that shows how that group has impacted the boutique home video scene, at least in package design.
