I have zero Schwarzeneggers, and it seems that my two most prevalent actors are.. Jude Law and Scarlett Johansson (?!) with three each, the latter oddly has two voice-only roles and one primarily physical role with very little vocal work

I was considering Burst City but couldn’t call its essence as Sci-fi enough.

I have a whopping 13 directors with two titles each; Spielberg is not among them

Spielberg gets my top director spot with 4. Harrison Ford is tops as an actor with 4, but second place for actors is, oddly enough, Domhnall Gleeson with 3 (and he'd have doubled that if I'd had to go to 75 entries).

The first Terminator just barely missed my short list. If I had gone to 50, I likely would have made room for both it and the sequel.

@ bamwc2: Junior is a great choice. I didn't even think of it! Arnie's "My body, my choice!" line is the highlight for me.

I figured, but my favorite is the one that introduced me to The Stalin.

Sadly, I was only joking. I remember when the film came out, but have never seen it. If I had more space, then Arnie would have had a couple of entries on my list. He just didn't make the cut at fifty.

I watched it a few years ago and I think it's not as terrible as it's made out to be. Plus, I can't think of many (any?) films involving male pregnancy outside of Alien Nation, where the male aliens are the sex that become pregnant.

In a cruel reminder that robots cannot yet replace every mundane task, work meant tallying didn’t start yet. So, feel free to submit any alterations or new lists until I say you can’t. List participation is about on par with other lists— not terrible, not amazing

Anyone who hasn't submitted yet or is thinking of revising their list - why not take ten minutes to watch Sally Cruikshank's Quasi at the Quackadero, a wonderful piece of 70s homemade animated surrealism that I mentally file away in the same cabinet I put Thomas Pynchon's first few novels and the best Firesign Theatre albums. Petulant duck child Quasi, his narcissistic sexpot...uh...guardian (?) Anita and her boyfriend, the clapping mute...robot (?) Rollo go on a daytrip to a futuristic fair/expo. Madness ensues. Several lines from this have been rattling around in my brain ever since I first saw it - "There certainly are a lot of weirdos out today!" "I love to look at pictures of people working!" etc. But the psychedelia meets art deco style and frequently nightmarish sight gags are the real draw.

My list is also heavily weighted towards the 2010s (9 out of 27), but that's mainly because of six films from a single year.

Voting officially closed. 24 total lists. May be leaning in on help from other members to get it across the finish line, but it's coming!

Could someone remind me what the numbers after the list entries mean? E.g.:
2001: A Space Odyssey (Stanley Kubrick, 1968) 19 (10)

Thanks domino and DI! My top 10 + orphans

1. World of Tomorrow (series)
2. Ad Astra
3. Seeking a Friend for the End of the World
4. Jurassic Park
5. Stalker
6. Inception
7. War of the Worlds (2005)
8. Colossal - ORPHAN
9. Unbreakable
10. eXistenZ

27. Repo Man - I blame society for this omission
29. Brand Upon the Brain! - Surely the most insane mad scientist experiments and their effects on memory translated via technique should have accrued greater interest?
31. Idiocracy - I guess not many share my sense of humor..
45. Thelma - I guess mfunk didn't submit a list..

Glad to have been a part of getting Unbreakable and The Midnight Gospel onto the main list with only one another person (knives and Murdoch, respectively), and thanks to whoever else voted for Mauvais Sang, which just barely escaped my top ten at the last minute

And I've seen 97/100
