The movie in question is actually the great James Harris film Some Call It Loving. This is a VHS cover, granted, which by default makes it likely to be 99% better than anything since, even if unintentionally or accidentally so. Yes, Richard Pryor is in the film, but not that Richard Pryor. No, neither of the two main characters appear on the cover. Good stuff.

Fortunately, I don't believe a UKIP/Brexit tie-in edition was ever released.

Literally shaking right now (not sure whether it's from anger or laughter)
(PS this Australian DVD line has also brought out Showgirls and Sex and Zen, so I suppose the Verhoeven and Category III fans can squabble over whether or not Kechiche is in good company …)

The steelbook is dreadful, too (as are Warner's covers for Singing in the Rain). The studios should follow Kino's template and stick to the theatrical posters.

Re: Worst DVD Covers...ever! (Part 4K)
Paramount are weird. They do terrible artwork for The Untouchables but (correctly) use the theatrical poster for Raiders.
Super pleased they finally broke up the set. Raiders is the only one I wanted. June 14th.

Isn’t that just the original cover- what’s wrong with it?

Re: Worst DVD Covers...ever! (Part 4K)
It is the original poster and I meant to use it as an example of how the studios should reissue catalogue titles. Sorry for the confusion.

That's somehow worse than Criterion's MSpaint cover for Zazie dans le Metro

That looks like if some high-school metal bands did a tribute album for R.E.M.’s Monster.

Worst DVD Covers...ever! (Part 4K)
Seems like a clear reference to the art for the video game and quite in keeping with that style. Makes the movie look a hell of a lot more interesting than the original poster with Dabney Coleman looking ridiculous.
