Re: On Ordering Indicator Releases
During the spring sale I still had to get over 200 once VAT was removed to trigger the free shipping. So it might not be a glitch but a feature.

Re: On Ordering Indicator Releases
The issue wasn't the free shipping threshold. It's that they wouldn't ship at all to the US unless you hit £200. At £199.98 after VAT deduction, the site said they could not ship some items to my address and I should remove them from my cart. Over £200, it had no problem.

Oh I see. Yeah that's definitely a glitch. Hopefully they'll get it sorted soon.senseabove wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 5:15 pmThe issue wasn't the free shipping threshold. Re: On Ordering Indicator Releases
Seems like they're calling the 50% off a discount which doesn't allow you to redeem your points.

Re: On Ordering Indicator Releases
you're joking. they were literally in my cart and then I had that shipping issue
they can't be serious. $71 on Amazon is a massive difference
EDIT: they have addressed this on Twitter. will be watching for more info like a hawk. I put my alerts on in order to stay on top of it. here is the tweet thread where they address it.

Now I'm hoping Vol 3 doesn't hit low stock until the next sale.

I don’t often find myself agreeing with your taste in cinema, but I’ll third a recommendation for Effect of Gamma Rays…, which was unexpectedly good. The Reckoning, also, is really worthwhile.domino harvey wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 1:30 pmAwful

Great
Effect of Gamma Rays…
Though case in point, I quite liked Psyche 59.
Immaculate Conception is another one that’s worth a look, especially if you’ve enjoyed Dehlavi’s other films. Though he’s made far better, it perhaps somewhat gets away with it’s ‘white westerner in an exotic land’ framework, not least for a chance to see Melissa Leo in a lead role just prior to Homicide, Life on the Street.

FWIW, I thought Town on Trial was a lot of fun, too. Might get that at the next sale.

Re: On Ordering Indicator Releases
It might be worth noting that Effect of Gamma Rays On Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds is also one of the 20th Century Fox titles Indicator has released. Who knows if that might ever get reissued through Disney-owned-Fox.

as promised, Columbia Noir #1 and #2 have returned
expected ship date November. paid a pretty £25 for priority shipping since it was only £2 more than the standard. still hurt the wallet!

After much deliberation, I got the second William Castle set, The Effect of Gamma Rays..., and Town on Trial. I was going to buy The Reckoning, but it sold out yesterday. Time to hunker down until Black Friday!

Re: On Ordering Indicator Releases
Turns out, there's £50.81 worth of discs (after VAT is removed) that I'd be up for ordering. I'd be up for starting another U.S. group-buy under the same terms (with items picked up in-person or buyers also paying for U.S. media mail shipping).hearthesilence wrote: ↑Fri Oct 22, 2021 4:19 pmIf anybody is organizing another group-buy, let me know. I would start one myself, but I only want one title that's £8 without VAT, a long way off from the £200 needed.

I'll join a potential group-buy as there's only a few items I'm interested in.hearthesilence wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 8:45 pmTurns out, there's £50.81 worth of discs (after VAT is removed) that I'd be up for ordering. who even in the US has the rights to Light Sleeper? becuase I'm so close to saying fuck it and just getting the Indicator release. I've been stockpiling Region B releases without having a region free player which is in the cards for Christmas anyways.

Re: On Ordering Indicator Releases
Well, I put in an order for about £270 which might have been a tad excessive thinking about it. Got most of the 50% I didn't have, but didn't get Man in the Moon Marigolds (which for some reason has never appealed to me). I'm tempted to go back and put another order in (I'd meant to get The System as well - mainly for the short film) but think that might be going a bit too far...

It's with Lionsgate here.

Theatrically, it was New Line, and I'm not quite sure as to how it ended up with Lionsgate on video.

Re: On Ordering Indicator Releases
It could be because of Carolco, but I assume, like Reservoir Dogs, which was theatrically distributed by Miramax, Light Sleeper is with Lionsgate via Live Entertainment.
