This is a cool movie for Indicator to release - not really one I ever thought would be making the jump to BD. Leaves me hopeful the Columbia Best Picture nominee from the year prior, The Dresser, which seems extremely up Indicator’s alley, might be soon to follow.

Excellent movie that is equal parts intriguing mystery and revealing systemic racial drama. Easily Jewison’s best work, and an early Denzel perf for the books.

Already out on Blu in the states. It is a great film though, a true tonic for bad medicine cinema with its thought provoking (and provoking in general) approach

A first Jewison for Indicator...will we get And Justice For All next? Hard to imagine they'd skip a Pacino performance (and surely a better proposition than, say, Bobby Deerfield). Curious to see this one nevertheless.

I'm tempted to agree, but in addition to all of the films I haven't seen by him Jesus Christ Superstar and FIST are real tempting to place as well. That's not even getting into nostalgic favorite Fiddler on the Roof.

I should be clear that I genuinely like a lot of Jewison’s work so “easily” may insinuate that it’s a one-off when that’s not the case. Still, he’s spent a sizable portion of his career trying to evoke emotions around (in)justice and (thwarted) belongingness within systems, and this feels like the best and purest embodiment of that drive.

I definitely agree it’s his most engaging presentation of the why for civil rights.
