Re: Quarantined Monthly Guessing Thread
I've noticed nobody is predicting Ferris Bueller anymore? Wasn't it expected coming from Criterion? Did anything change? Thanks!

Re: Quarantined Monthly Guessing Thread
The original sourcing was pretty spurious - I believe, at the same time as Breakfast Club, there was an article or interview about it that said the newly found footage or whatever was going to be on an upcoming release? I always thought the phrasing was pretty suspect and didnmt reallt think it’s be coming, especially now that the Paramount Presents line is a way better home for the movie.

Re: Quarantined Monthly Guessing Thread
I think it’s probably still plausible until it gets a release elsewhere. Other than not wanting to highlight Jeffrey Jones, I can’t think of anything that would spook Criterion like with Sixteen Candles

I have to imagine The Irishman gets announced today. November is the perfect month to get this for your dad for Christmas.
Also, it's De Niro's birthday today.

A thought: Tired as I am of our present times, I wish this thread title didn't contain the word "Quarantined." Maybe it's just me.

It's 5:40 ET. Is it too early to call it for today?

Re: Quarantined Monthly Guessing Thread
Although it has been announced later, I typically stop checking around 6:30 EST and assume the announcement will come the following day. It seems like there have been a few times where it was announced around 6 PM EST in the past, so it isn't out of the question, but it's unlikely at this point. November is typically a big month, so they may be squaring a few things away.

Today also would have been Maureen O'Hara's centenary. Before I even knew that I listened to her commentary track on MoC's Rio Grande this morning.

Assuming we get announcements today, it will tie last July for latest announcement date, though we’re all taking it better this time... so far

All I have left to live for is anticipating so they’re doing me one better by not announcing.
