Hopefully the rest of the Eleanor Powell films will follow! (Although I suspect this one is because of Fred Astaire.)

Never would I have predicted that somehow High Society would be the last film from the Cole Porter box to be upgraded

It was the last title in the Broadway Musicals 4-pack left, but like Show Boat it looked real rough on DVD, so they must have done a new scan

It's like Candyman - you have to repeat yourself five times to summon it. You're almost there!

Fantastic. One of the greatest comedies of the 1990's.

Don't forget Nico. She sang it and lived it.

She didn't sing it though, strictly speaking, I don't think? She would've said it in proper French too.

Oh you're right. The boys handled the chorus. She definitely lived it though. Just finished a biography of Leonard Cohen and it goes into some detail about what a heartbreaker Nico was within the New York scene in the late 60's.

The final (?) 4/$44 sale is live - use the code SHOPWB15 for an additional 15% off. Baby Doll isn’t included.

Edit: Someone posted that the code WBED20 gives you 20% off, but I had already placed my order with the other code so can’t verify.
