Certainly possible that Arrow has Carrie in the US now, but I can't remember the last time they released an MGM title in the US and the only ones I can think of that are still in print are RoboCop, The Apartment, and The Serpent's Egg.

I'd much rather Arrow do Robocop in 4k than KL.

Since I can't recall if they shot RoboCop down, I expect Kino to announce a UHD. They clearly have got most favored boutique status with MGM.

Also, Gambit had an amusing publicity campaign where they told audiences it was fine if they revealed the ending, but asked that they not spoil the beginning of the film!
They should have done that in the publicity for Amanda!

Since KL didn't get Carrie, it seems fair to assume Arrow got the 4k rights from MGM (might be time to retire the Shout Factory BD).
With SF has confirmed having 4K UHD rights to The Fog I wouldn't be surprised if they got Carrie as well.

RE: Arrow's rights possibly lapsing for The Apartment. They first released their BD in 2017, so it will have been five years when this Kino release arrives in 2022. Seems like a lapsing rights period to me.

If Shout still has Carrie, I don't know why they would take their Blu-ray OOP, as the Carpenter Blu-rays are still in-print.

KLStudioClassics tweeted that One False Move is coming soon. It's just a title reveal so no special features mentioned. Blu-ray only as they usually say 4K in the press release. Anyway it's a title that's long overdue.

Edit: if they were able to get the rights I'd love for an Indicator edition of this one (I haven't looked to see who owns this one)

It is a Sony title. And one I would have assumed Criterion would have been interested in. I'm thinking there is a strong possibility that Indicator does have it in the UK.

I think it’s through Columbia - though this seemed to me like a title that had to be a top choice from the studios for Criterion when the article hit so I’m pretty surprised they wouldn’t have nabbed it from Sony.

You have to also consider that most of Sony's deals primarily consist of pre-selected titles/packages (it explains why there was so much Twilight Time overlaps when labels like Eureka and Indicator started releasing Sony titles). I assume Criterion either wasn't interested in "One False Move" at all or didn't want to be stuck with extra titles they have no intention of releasing (though, I assume Criterion might have enough clout to possibly swap titles).

That's excellent news to have it on Blu-Ray at all! But hopefully Indicator have it on their 2022 schedule, too.

Pretty sure KL Insider stated in the past it was with another label, which likely means Criterion.

Happy to hear White Woman is coming (I knew only KLSC would ever release it with that title and first act), it was the best discovery from my Lombard viewing project

If only for the title alone!
I assume MIdnight is still pending with Criterion and absolutely no sign of it through the first half of next year.
Was there confirmation that Criterion had Midnight, or is this just a guess because Kino doesn't have it.

Kino doesn’t have it, and while it does feel like the type of studio movie Arrow Academy liked I don’t think they’re really interested in those anymore, so I think it’s probably the most likely place for it. Unless Indicator has a Uni deal for US too, I guess…
