I've been finding some decent deals for Imprint titles on eBay occasionally from third-party sellers, where you buy several and they come out to low-20s, which is fine for the good stuff. This movie bored me to tears though, and while that's not a fair criticism, its mode is so languid and aloof that I wouldn't pay much more than domino's pitch of a sale price to find out if it's for you

I just got my Killer’s Kiss UHD and I’m having an issue with flickering on my Sony 4K player. I’ve only been able to remove the issue if I disable HDR completely on my player. Has anyone received their discs or is this only with mine and this player? It’s not on every scene, only on some shots, but enough to render it unwatchable due to the strobing. It’s usually during those scenes with lower light levels. This is my third black and white UHD and haven’t encountered this issue before. I updated my firmware and have done all sorts of changes to see if it fixed it, but it seems to be disc specific.
Does it happen in both Dolby Vision and HDR10?

Yes. I’ve turned off and on both Dolby Vision and standard HDR and it keeps happening.

I should note that I noticed it kept doing it even without UHD, but nowhere near the same degree. It happens on all sorts of shots regardless of light levels. I put on my other two B&W discs, Citizen Kane and The Elephant Man, and saw no such issue.

KLI has said there were 3 films of the 16 4K UHD they licensed that they decided to release on 4K UHD instead of just BD because Paramount already had the 4K HDR master. This was one of those three. KLI implies they would be releasing 13 from this deal if those three weren't already done by Paramount already.

Nice! Can't wait to see what you guys picked up. While not going into specifics and I think it's safe to say some of the films will include these guys. Just wondering out of 22 how good does it look for Jean-Paul Belmondo, Alain Delon, Jean Rabin, Lino Ventura, and Jean-Louis Trintignant fans?

Answer...Two of the films will be released by Kino Classics, maybe more. Ten of the movies will be released as boxed sets, two 3-film sets and two 2-film sets. We have films from all the actors you mentioned, except for one of them.

1930s x 2
1940s x 3
1950s x 5
1960s x 5
1970s x 2
1980s x 4
2000s x 1

Please no more questions.

Haven't looked at it yet, but the Kino Spring Into Summer sale is on. Can't believe it's already the 23rd… ends July 18th.

Are any of these worth getting as upgrades if I already have the latest UK boutique releases?

I think Kino was rumored to be doing a new transfer for a re-release of Cherry 2000 (and Miracle Mile), so I'd skip that one.

Went for The Bank Dick, It's A Gift, Dead of Night and Touch of Evil 4k. Was eyeing For A Few Dollars More but a European label might end up doing the Leone trilogy with HDR and/or Dolby Vision added so I'm passing on that for the time being.

Doh, I received the Eureka release just the other day. Bought impulsively, without seeing Kino has 2 releases of it, one of them apparently from a newer scan. ](*,)

pretty unbeatable price for the Jancso collection, likely my pick for release of the year so far. really want to see a UK label do a box of the Leone films but for now I'll pick up these, especially as all three seem to be a huge improvement over everything existing.

Touch of Evil is hard to justify future proofing until I have a 4K setup (may happen in July!) - as it's of course a higher priced release and has no included BD, but they did seem to knock that one out of the park. hoping we get some Out of Sight reviews soon, as it's available to preorder at 40% off. Kino has been on a pretty good streak after a rough start to their UHD program, but I still tend to not preorder anything

I wasn't even aware they were having one, which is totally on me since they always are. All the titles I bought from Target's B2G1 are significantly discounted, meaning I would've saved way more from Kino direct! I'd say Live And Learn, but apparently I don't ever learn with applying patience to KLSC products

It's worth noting that even though some UHDs don't show up on the sale page, if you go to those blu-ray prices, the UHDs of those discs are also on sale. The Apartment and Eastern Promises are both on sale. If anyone hasn't picked up Buffet Froid, do yourself a favor and blind-buy it at a measly $8.50

The latest Kino/MGM deal still has a 70s and a 90s 4K UHD announcement coming that were both previously released on BD by Kino, so be warned. (Best guesses are Thunderbolt and Lightfoot and Needful Things).

I would assume they already have 4K UHD rights to "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" as KLI stated that they obtained UHD license for films, at least their MGM licenses, that they did 4K scans of. Though, at the same time, it could be possible that they later dropped the UHD rights, like they did for "The Thomas Crown Affair", but then re-obtained them.
