Shall we judge Gellar's acting based on Southland Tales?

They could get Arleen Sorkin who voiced Harley Quinn in the '92 Batman animated series:

She's already got the wardrobe, apparently.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is out....but....ERIC ROBERTS IS IN!

And for the obsessive types, here are the first "pics" of the Joker.

Thanks for pointing out that thread. It's filled with all sorts of hilarity. My favorite bit is when one of the posters, upset about being duped, quipped "I'm amazed that some losers don't have anything better to do." This from a man who has 1,400+ posts in a superhero forum.

For some reason I was stuck watching Batman Forever and didn't rememeber how badly campy and over the top Tommy Lee Jones played the Two-Face character. He didn't even played Dent, just a whacked out nowhere-near-comic book recreation of Two-Face. I like Eckhart, specially after the incredibly good Thank You for Smoking, and feel that he will bring dignity back to the Dent Jeckyll and Hyde persona.

It seems that people are already freaking out about that Joker pic on other forums, I agree that I can't see Warner Bros. using that, since it definitely doesn't imply PG-13. I love the idea of a smile being carved into the Joker's face (Ichi The Killer-style) though, it's brutal and disturbing.

I LOVE the look of the Joker and since it's coming from a legit Warner Bros. site we can presume it's the one their using. And given how the MPAA works, as long as no one says "fuck" and there are no boob shots, this will be PG-13. Also, there are many ways they can imply that the smile is carved into the face without showing it directly.

Another completely random 80's star has been cast, though he's staying mum on what role exactly.

Anthony Michael Hall stays dead quiet about role in Batman saga

It fits the history of the comic, too. The character was originally inspired by Gwynplaine in The Man Who Laughs.

It looks like the Ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com page is down already, I know people have been speculating that it wasn't actually a Warner Bros. site since it popped up, but who knows?

Wow, I just noticed that, it's seriously creepy. According to poster Christopher Lupold on the MHVF board, the letters inbetween the "HA"s spell out "seeYOuInDECeMbER," so I guess that's when the trailer is coming out.

Doesn't IMAX film have it's own aspect ratio? If the film quality is so different, I wonder how they're going to make it work.

From what I gathered from the article, only the IMAX sequences will make full use of the entire IMAX screen.

From a little Wikipedia research, it looks like IMAX film is just a variant of 70mm film, but I'm sure this isn't shooting in 70mm (it would be cool though). I'm really interested to see how this plays out. I guess they'll just shrink the IMAX sequences down to 35mm for regular theaters, but how will they make up for the difference in image quality between those scenes and the rest of the film?

Unfortunately, I doubt they'll worry about it too much. Sadly, most moviegoers put up fairly poor projection as it is. I remember going to see Starsky & Hutch and walking into the theater only to realize they were showing it on their IMAX screen (this cinema has 12 screens plus 1 IMAX screen).

I never thought I would see Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller's respective heads blown up to eight stories, but, there you have it.
