Her hand looks slightly too big. And, from the weird way they've 'distressed' the image, hairy. The more I look at it, the more it creeps me out.

Also I wonder what song she's singing into her rose mic.

I know we've all seen this old chestnut, which is still the gold standard for bad DVD covers:

But in all these years, I had never seen the back of the cover, which describes the film as Italian, in color and dubbed in English!!!

This thread (or one of its incarnations) is actually the returning Google Image Search result for that series! Two Women with the unrelated sexy Loren pose has to be up there

Its great that its "dubbed in English", claims to be Italian, and in color (or did they colorize it?). Surprised they got the year / runtime correct.

Is Hamill in blackface on the top one?

This one has always been an eyesore on my DVD shelf, but what makes it even more painful is that, unlike the Repulsion one above or the Martha Ivers cover on the previous page, this is for a legitimately good release of a movie that has its share of bad PD editions.

That Image's disc, right? They were in love with those kind of horrible colored B&W images for their covers for a while

It looks like a Star Wars movie.

I don't mind that. Don't make it any more obtuse than it has to be, highlight the stars. Looks pretty.

I was under the impression that Isaac only has a small role but okay.

He's the second most marketable name in the cast, it doesn't matter

He has a pivotal role, though, and makes sense there on whatever traditional movie poster artwork you'd end up drawing, next to Portman. For the reason Domino mentioned, but also for plot reasons

Plus if you are doing a "from the director of Ex Machina" thing, it might also make sense to suggest one of the actors from that film turns up here as well.

I am looking forward to seeing the film in general but in terms of actors I'm most glad to see Benedict Wong turn up in there, who now seems to have become the modern sci-fi film talisman figure for his run of small supporting roles in: Sunshine, Moon, Prometheus and The Martian. Plus in episodes of Black Mirror and Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams! Not to mention the voicing the main character's brother in the recent Prey game!

I don't think the forthcoming Japanese Blu-ray of Death Wish 3 (1985) (which is apparently commemorating the anniversary of Bronson's real life demise in August 2003, hence the "15") has enough guns on the cover:

This isn't totally horrid, but the Unsane cover has flipped the poster upside down, presumably to make Claire Foy more recognizable - totally understandable, but it kind of makes what I thought was a pretty good poster into a pretty bad one.

I was so glad the U.S. Blu-ray didn't go that route. It's a shame U.K. buyers aren't as lucky...
