No there aren't..
wrong again!...
Only 990 more boxes to go. You realize that most of the sets you name contain one film instead of the three to five films in an Eclipse box?

I think i've realized one thing: i'm correct and you are wrong!
And that your inane comments indicate this isnt worth any more of my time.

I can hardly argue with logic like that. Your skillful repartee sends yet another member bowing in defeat. Well played, sir.

I really wish godardslave would one day realize none of this is worth any of his time

I wish for once in his life, Jeff would stop trying to have the last word.

The Breathless cover got quite a bit of grief, but now having the dvd in my hands, I think it's about the best designed package Criterion has done.

I prefer
this one with the cute, young, pixieish Varda (linked to by Nuno five posts up), but it's not bad.

I like the photo of the official, colored version better.
It matches the other covers better as well.
The only thing about it is the repetiton of the four films names, that much text on the cover kinda distracts from the good photo.

The set will probably have both photos, with the black and white one on a slip of some kind, or as the booklet, or something else. I want to think it could possibly be the back, but there's no real chance of that.

I agree, it's just so frustrating that everything on the exterior, save the beautiful spine, is so off-putting. Here's some interior pix:

Criterion's Breathless goes great with a flowery background.

That may be the first time anyone called Varda "cute."

I mean cute like a chipmunk, not like someone I'd like to fuck.

Interesting distinction.

Berlin Alexanderplatz looks absolutely incredible, although the way that it's laid out is a little odd - the booklet rests in the middle of the digipak, instead of sitting next to it in the box or sitting in a pocket. I've never seen another box set designed like this.

My Breathless booklet was under one of the flaps instead of in the middle when I opened it. Obviously a mistake, as the flap was bent.
I don't like it either.

I just don't care for having to pull out the booklet and the DVDs at the same time, it makes things awkward and I don't see any reason for it.
