This jogged my memory and reminded me that the French / German Blu-ray has both cuts encoded in 1080/50i. Since that release came directly from StudioCanal, they probably just sent the same 25 fps files to Altered Innocence. I expect Indicator looked into the intended frame rate before deciding to present both cuts at 24 fps for the UK release, but I don't remember the specifics.

I would normally have been closely involved with this release, but in fact I did virtually nothing on it (I get buried somewhere in the thank-you list instead of my usual prominent Technical Producer credit) because its production in Jan/Feb 2021 coincided almost perfectly with me being felled by Covid to the point of needing hospitalisation for the better part of a week.

So the upside of that was that I didn’t have to watch Irreversible umpteen times.
