Targets is a dream come true. I wonder what else they've licensed from Paramount (unless those deals are bundled in with Universal, which would explain the Dietrich set). Great cover too, I agree - I prefer when labels actually use the original artwork, wherever possible.

Fortunately I didn’t import Kino’s disc of Mädchen. The Jenni Olson commentary is probably the same but the BFI most likely will have couple extras more and a booklet in the first pressing. Also Marlene Dietrich is always welcome. So these two I’m most excited about.

Hope we get a commentary on Blue Sky from its writers. Would love to hear Peter Medak discuss Romeo, too. Immensely
flawed, yet bizarrely compelling movie with a lot of gratuitous violence and one of Mark Isham's best scores.

Would BFI have any interest in putting out Medak’s The Ruling Class (1972)?

May 27, 2022 marks the Christopher Lee centenary. Would BFI be interested in a centenary edition or box set of feature films, shorts, perhaps a selection from Lee´s audiobooks and recordings, an image gallery (I remember a shot of Lee testing for the part of Queequeeg in Moby Dick (1956) on the BFI website), and input from Lady Lee, Jonathan Rigby, Kim Newman et. al.?

I realize that collecting several feature films might surely be a rights nightmare. Perhaps a set of 1-2 discs might be organized around some of these:
The Disputation, one of Lee´s best performances IMHO
The Creeping Flesh, as an example of the Lee-Cushing partnership
Les Mains d´Orlac, excellent performance in French
Alias John Preston
The Mirror and Markheim
Cross-Roads (though already released as an extra on a BFI disc)

Haven´t seen Dark Places or Nothing But the Night, so can´t comment on these.

Perhaps other relevant material is housed at the BFI.

Another short film that it would be nice to see upgraded to Blu-ray as part of this collection is Paul Miller's "Spiderweb" (1977). It is not a horror or suspense film per se, but it has an agreeably disquieting ambience about it.

Oh, I know. He IS a very engaging and informative commentator, though. Still, I also would've liked to have heard from the film's writer/producer, Hilary Henkin, but maybe she was unavailable or
dissatisfied with it. She was the first female writer to earn a cool million for a screenplay, and the film was hyped up a lot before its release.
