Why is the number so important?

They obviously have enough to promise free copies without setting any sort of a limit.

In this respect, let me just mention that I didn't get the promised "Prisoner of Shark Island" freebie in my last order of two items although I ordered in time. I didn't complain, as I have that disc anyway, but perhaps people missing out on "Toni" should be really insistent.

If you mention it to your Paypal payment, you should be fine.

'Toni' was one of my first MoCs: the commentary is one of my very favourites. I'm not sure I'll 'bite' though

It's like when there was the "Abhijan" OOP panic 3 years ago, and I finally snagged one from Hong Kong HMV. When later, it eventually became available on Eureka's site. 3 years later, it's still available on their site....

I do remember that very well. Is my life really so empty? Is my cat so boring? She is Devon rex by the way.

I bit. Missed out on Toni, so this was a great deal. I'm excited for the Yamanakas, I really loved Humanity and Paper Balloons. Thought the old disc had some really quiet and variable audio, though.

I just found Shoeshine in a Wyoming pawn shop (of all places) for $2. Otherwise, I would totally go for this deal.

Note that there are other good deals on MoC dual formats on Amazon UK at the moment - at least Sunrise, City Girl, Insect Woman and Ballad of Narayama are all under £12! Be quick - just bagged a copy of Tokyo Sonata for £11 before it went back up \:D/

Amazing to have this (The Tarnished Angels) on blu-ray, although imho the Amazon pre-order price is a bit excessive. For an upgrade of a major studio catalogue title that retails for £1-74 on DVD, £20 is quite a gouge.

I imagine the mad bounty of extras (the best from MOC in a long time) is where your extra pounds are going. It is okay to be satisfied.

No interest in extras personally. If/when this drops below £14 I'll buy it (that's still 8x the price of the DVD, as opposed to 11.4x).

£20 is the standard list price for most of MoC's releases. Amazon just hasn't discounted it yet.

They're typically a few pounds cheaper (with free worldwide shipping to boot) on Eureka's site, too.

Did you actually expect the new Blu-ray special edition to be priced comparably to a used DVD offered on Amazon? Maybe MoC should just make it free, even better.
