Wow, two great films- keep the Hong coming! Virgin Stripped Bare By Her Bachelors in particular is a masterpiece.

I just got my copy of the new Hong Blu-Ray. It turns out that you get to pick whether it is Woman on the Beach with Hill of Freedom as an extra or vice versa. (Reversible cover and Blu-Ray label printed with different orientation for each film). I'm going with the WotB option.

Mouth of the Wolf and Lost and Beautiful being released as a double feature in March, on Blu-ray and DVD. Lost and Beautiful was an early streaming-only title, so hopefully some of the others (Academy of Muses, He Fengming, Mimosas or, dare I dream it, From What Is Before) will also get physical releases.

Academy of Muses needs to happen!!! I don't even care if they just do a DVD.

Oh yeah I've just never chimed in. In the City of Sylvia got a DVD release from Cinema Guild so why not. I've been poking them on Twitter for La Flor and Straub/Huillet every so often so i'll add this. It seems to be working at times.

Francisca will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on April 6. Hopefully the other two Portuguese classics they recently restored will follow soon.

They also confirmed on Facebook that The Green Years and Change of Life will be released on DVD and Blu-ray later this year.

Shame about the lack of features, but thrilled it's finally dropped- hopefully it comes back in stock shortly. Thanks for the head's up!

Amazon’s new price for Francisca is questionable. :-k

Indeed. Very much a mistake. Working to correct.

I don't think this has been mentioned in the thread, but Bong Joon-Ho's great long short Influenza slipped out on DVD last year. Here.

They claim it's previously unreleased, but it was a Jeonju Digital Project film and was included on their superb box set about ten years ago. It's formally remarkable as a narrative film conveyed exclusively through security camera footage.

As someone who likes most Bong, I watched Influenza earlier this year and absolutely hated it. Think a shrewd, rather than comic, approach to callousness in a narrative strung together like Jackass. I can’t believe it’s being sold with a couple interviews for $20 on DVD. I might be the outlier here, but it’s def not a safe blind buy.

I agree with Zedz on its quality, but also agree that that disc is highway robbery. It’s a good short, not Night and Fog!

Grasshopper Film's Facebook have been plugging Where Dos Your Hidden Smile Lie? a lot, hopefully it will be included as a supplement on Sicilia!.

It seems that The Green Years and Change of Life are DVD only, now.

This doesn't seem to have been formally announced anywhere, but Sono's Red Post on Escher Street also looks to be getting a DVD-only release on August 24th.

Second Run will probably be releasing both of the Rocha films on Blu-ray, so I'm not going to be too sad about Grasshopper bumping them down a format.
