I actually did and saw $0 in the promotion discount line but looked no further (when I had last left the order I was creating the amount of both coupons $75 was on this line and so I just left without buying and would just return during the next sale). I see now that although everything has been cleared from my cart since i didn't purchase anything, if you scroll down further there is a section below where the unused coupons are stored & can be applied if you click on them.

All 4K releases, including preorders, are 30% off for the next week

I was going to wait for the flash sale, but I noticed two $10 off coupons in my account when I went to check out. I have no idea how they got there as I used two $10 copuons on my last order. I also had a $50 coupon saved, so I applied that and successfully checked out with $70 off. Not flash sale prices, but pretty decent.

I’m going to guess and say the 21st for the flash sale. The Shrouds, A History of Violence and Altered States all get released that day, while the 14th only has Eyes Without a Face upgrade.

I just got a coupon as a Criterion Channel subscriber. Does that usually mean there will be a sale the next week?

Do signs point to sale not happening today?

It’s almost always around noon

No emails and no social media teases yet. Usually these happen by now

If they don’t do it today they might as well not do it at all with the BN sale about to start

if it happens today, I believe this would be the first time they've ever done it without any teases or emails confirming it

Hah, this is the first time I've ever had to go through the hassle of rescheduling things so I can jump on the sale...and I guess it's not happening.

I’ve heard speculation that it had to do with the Amazon platform global outages

Could it still happen today, just later, or would they likely put it off for another day or week?

In the twelve or so years I've been taking advantage of flash sales (and I've participated in every one of them), they always start precisely at noon (EST). I wonder if the big server outage yesterday made them rethink whether to hold the sale today?
EDIT: Just as "FrauBlucher" surmises.
As to when it might be rescheduled... well, it's a flash sale so we're not owed any notice as to why it didn't happen or when it might happen again (although loyal criterion customers should be entitled to a hint).

This feels plausible. I mean everything runs on AWS (except Criterionforum, apparently)

I think the likelihood could be the next couple of days as opposed to next week

Apparently the Canadian sale from Unobstructed View is happening now.

First the commercial during last night's game, now this?!

Maybe they’d do it in December or January instead? There’s no way they’ll do it in November with the BN sale

Of course the one time I have the day off & get in on the sale right at noon, it doesn't happen. Maybe they're just trying to disrupt things because people have become too familiar with the pattern, so that it becomes a surprise again.

Doubtful, why would they deprive themselves of money? Advertising it and giving expected markers for a sale is good for business

But selling more items for 30% or 10% off rather than 50% off is also good for business.

I was responding to an entirely different logic you put forth than that..
