Yes, they have. There are optional French and English subtitles for the main features, but there are no subtitles for the short French introductions.

Finally gentlemen you receive a standardized mail from me where I ask you which of the named Criterions you've seen. Obviously these are the top placed Criterions you haven't voted for (except for any mistakes I may have made), alphabetically sorted by cover designer. If you have seen a Criterion and don't remember it well enough not having it revisited for this off the cuff, allegedly fun list, then there are two different options
a) you remembered that the film wasn't anything special and didn't think it necessary to buy the Criterion because it wouldn't have made the list anyway, then it counts as seen
b) the ownership status of the Criterion has dissolved completely in your mind that you couldn't say whether it's in your kevyip or not, then it does count as not seen.

The faster I get your PMs the faster the final list appears here, it's just that I want to see to which degree lesser known and more difficult to access Criterions suffered from this handicap. In the previous list we had far less Criterions and a few voters less, so it didn't play a major role though e.g. Resnais or Bunuel profited from their wider exposure. This time it may be different, the replies are strictly confidential, no need to be embarassed.

Please sacrifice the 5 minutes of your time for an answer with an exact list of Criterions, so that the hours I've sacrificed are not in vain.

You can tell 2010 was a good year when the bottom five of the Top 10 list could have easily been the Top 5 of any previous year and we would have all been delighted. Bring on 2011 although, three months worth of announcements in, I don't think Criterion will be able to match 2010.

In all honesty if the only good thing they put out is the Naruse eclipse(I think they've already done better than that though with the YiYi blu and Fuller reissues)2011 is still going to be a great year by default.

Better late than never, I suppose, but my vote for best supplement goes to "Constructing a House" from House.
