There's something Gatsbyesque about Greathinker's cover that serves as the reason why I like it so. Good job, sir.

Can anyone do a mock-up cover for the "eventual" (fingers crossed) Criterion edition of The Darjeeling Limited? Pleeeease? I love the poster.

I just joined the forum, and I must say that I really love the fake Criterion covers! I have absolutely no talent at that kind of thing, so could someone please possibly do one for the Nollywood video OutKast by Mr. Prolific, aka Chico Ejiro, in the newest style? Here are some pics of the original, and here is the trailer: http://www.siu.edu/~africa/nollywood/outkast.html. Thanks very much! Peace.

These are a few I did. They're not amazing, as I just used Paint on my PC, but here they are:

I used the older Criterion logo because I'm stubborn and still prefer that one.

Here's my first try at this. Not very good in my opinion but I might as well share it anyway.

Could one of our fine graphic designers make their version of the "Mishima" cover -- to give members here something to compare and may be, also, so we could send 'Mulvaney' the link?

Domino... it took me a moment to realize what I was looking at there, but then I just couldn't seem to stop laughing. Brilliant!

Awesome. I wrote the second chapter of my thesis on The Sadist, which is actually a pretty good movie. I've seen all of these films, except the Nasty Rabbit, which I'm assured is his worst. Can I send this to Arch (who, rest assured, has a pretty good sense of humor)?

Sure. I've actually heard The Sadist isn't bad at all. Nothing personally against him, but there is that reputation at least for Eegah.

Here's two more I forgot I had...

I love those two Woody Allen covers. The Annie Hall one in particular which also has a good choice of photo.

Same still used on the Annie CC laserdisc.

The Manhattan cover is just the MGM DVD with the cast's names taken off and the scheme fit to the Criterion layout.

This kind of thing seems fun.

Sadly I don't think I have much future in that business.

Hmm, I didn't notice that. Both Allen covers were simple re-formats of the theatrical posters I found on Google Image Search.

Brilliant! I can almost hear the designer talking about how they "didn't want to go the obvious route with the Blue cover", maybe also showing the violet, orange and yellow covers they tried before settling on the above!

But Saturnome's was actually funny, as it avoided the obvious route employed above

Actually, no.

This had always been my least-favorite thread on this board (as a 0-post .com member, I need not elaborate), but this page redeems it. Love the Blue cover(s) (even if the second was retelling a joke just moments after, it still beats an MSPaint letter-to-Santa for Sin City) and Oggilby's, as unlikely as they are (LOVE the Loose Change cover)
