I'd jump on that if I hadn't just ordered one of the two individual sets I was missing from Eureka, and now I'm still left missing Insect Woman/Nishi Ginza Station, and even at this price I don't feel like buying the entire set just for that one. I would not have predicted that the price on this set would drop anywhere near this low.

This is mighty tempting, though I sorely lack the motivation to flip the individual discs I have. But for what it's worth, I found
Insect Woman to be an amazing film, and quite possibly the best blind buy I've ever made.

Yeah, it's a great one, but I do have the Criterion DVD of it already and was just hoping to get it on Blu as well, along with finally getting around to seeing Nishi Ginza Station, which seems like little more than a curiosity among his other works.
If anyone getting the set wants to sell the earlier Insect Woman Blu, though, please PM me.

That's insanely cheap. A great deal for those who are waiting to buy the set. I just happened to get
Narayama and
The Insect Woman at good prices from eBay, though, so that makes my Imamura collection complete.

Tempted as I am by the price drop, I'm going to try to hold off on this set. The only Imamura I'm missing is Pigs & Battleships, so if anyone is considering unloading their copy please get in touch.

Can anyone comment on the PQ of Boomerang who has seen it? Is it as waxy as the DVDBeaver caps show?

Also, if you missed the low price on Amazon a few weeks ago,

It's been a while but I don't recall being overly distracted by it. (I mean, it's not stomach turning like
Children of Paradise.)

It's not bad at all but it certainly isnt mindblowing.

Re. Boomerang. It's a bit too smooth, but not massively so, and I soon stopped noticing.

It's a lot less distracting in motion. It's not the greatest PQ you'll ever experience but it's serviceable.

So the question is: is MOC's WCP box worth it for Revenge alone at that price?

I got it and then sold the other two on eBay.

World Cinema Foundation (Dual Format) at just £14.99 is a STEAL and Shoah at £34.99 is definitely worth it considering the extra material and the fact that the Criterion Blu-Ray has major compression issues.

Loads of stuff on offer at Amazon UK until midnight tomorrow. Eureka Store offers are 'til 6pm on Monday I think.
Some bargains to be had - Onibaba (Dual Format), Kuroneko (Dual Format), Kwaidan and House. WCP Vol 1, well worth it at that price (£5 a film, lovely packaging and booklet). Some brilliant silents on offer (Caligari, Nosferatu etc). Many of the more recent Eureka Classics titles - all worth owning in my opinion!
I'm going for the Chabrol films I think...well, I've ordered Le Beau Serge and might get Les Cousins before the offer's up. Almost all of the others on offer I already have! Is Der Golem worth getting?
