Neat thread.

I have an unfinished cover for Andrei Rublev sitting around in my computer too. I might post it someday if I ever complete it.

Was this inspired by the Dead Kennedys' Bedtime for Democracy?

I didn't realize Quentin Tarantino had remade that. I'll have to track that down.

Lucy: Nice fuckin' tree, you pussy.
Charlie: Eat shit.
Linus: You guys want Christmas spirit? I've got your Christmas spirit right here, you fuckstick douchebag assface cocksuckers!

Hey, could someone do a cover for the Nigerian film Outkast? All you have to do is take the video CD image and put the banners on it. That would be dope. Also, someone, could you do covers for the films Roja, Bombay, and Dil Se by Mani Ratnam? I have no talent at that kind of thing. Thanks very much. Peace

Here are some more. The Shanghai Express cover is just a revised version of one I posted a while back. Nothing great, but here they are.

The vintage "39 Steps" cover is gorgeous! Nice work!

Seconded. Your 39 Steps cover is what Criterion went for with the new Lady Vanishes cover, but actually successful. Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys! Glad you like the 39 Steps cover. I really didn't do much, it's mostly just an original poster image. All I did was add Hitchcock's name at the top and took the smaller image of Donat and Carroll at the bottom from another poster.

Excellent work Feego! Your last batch was solid too - I really liked Queen Bee from that set. The shadowed title is an improvement on your Shanghai - still not sure about the font, but the still is great. And that Things to Come catches a common Criterion style pretty damn well.

These are all very impressive. I have extremely remedial Photoshop skills and out of sheer boredom at work, I've been trying to create covers for Inside Daisy Clover and The Legend of Lylah Clare -- hardly two titles that Criterion would issue but I'm inspired by the absurdity of the prospect. Why I'm disclosing this, I don't know, as I'll never have the balls to post them.

To be honest, I was never crazy about the font on Shanghai either. I've gone back and fiddled with it a little. I like the new one better, though I still don't know if it's actually good.

As much as I lurv this cover, I think the font was a tad over the top. Something a bit simpler suits the film better, IMO.

You've definitely posted some nice covers, but I don't think I'd change anything about the Vampyr cover.

I don't have the Photoshop skills to realize the idea I had in my head, but this came out as fair substitute (even if I feel like it shares too much in common with the layouts of a few recent titles).

Wow! Beautiful work. And a title I wish would join the collection, but I know never will.
