Loving the Twilight Time disc of House of Bamboo. I'm about halfway through the film right now. The color and the sharpness and depth...damn. It does not look like a 60-year-old film––the image is vivid and crisp all around. The sound is very clear as well. I remember this being one of the more low-key of the Alain Silver/James Ursini commentaries––they didn't seem as engaged here as they usually are. But I'm glad they included it the commentary all the same. There's also a Nick Redman/Julie Kirgo commentary that I'm afraid to try and listen to.

I don't see any reference to restoration on the box copy, but it looks as if the film has been well-restored. I see hardly an instance of print damage.

Given MoC's relationship with Fox/love of Fuller, might it be likely that they'll put out their own edition of House of Bamboo at some point?

Hopefully one of these companies can release a bluray of The Crimson Kimono. I downloaded an HD version off of iTunes, but it hardly looks like HD to me––only a few shots have any real depth or clarity. That's my favorite Fuller, though House of Bamboo is up there.

A date hasn't been set yet. Pre-orders typically go up on the last Wednesday of the month before release date, so expect sometime around the end of November.

The Judy Room's news arm reports I COULD GO ON SINGING on TT Blu in 2016 and Cassavetes' A CHILD IS WAITING from Kino. No indication of their source on this vital matter, but the previous R1 was non-anamorphic and it's currently relegated to MGM Vault DVD-R, so hey, get happy.

Not a bad cover, except what do red triangles have to do with the movie, beyond red=blood (and the movie doesn't have much graphic violance IIRC). A pattern that actually resembled a veil would've made a lot more sense.

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be an overlay of Debra Winger (unfiltered) and Theresa Russell (red filtered) but it ends up just looking like Debra Winger with red triangles on top

Pre-orders for John Carpenter's Vampires are being pushed back two weeks to October 14
Our sixth title, JOHN CARPENTER'S VAMPIRES, which was also scheduled to go up for pre-order on the 30th, will now be offered TWO WEEKS LATER - on Wednesday, October 14th at 4 pm EST. Our friends at Sony / Columbia have gone the extra mile for us making sure the color timing of the new master will more accurately reflect the original theatrical version, and not the alternate look of the international blu-ray releases, and also fixing the odd edit in one scene that is present in those transfers. We apologize for the slight delay, but rest assured the new blu-ray will be much improved as a result. Available exclusively at http://www.twilighttimemovies.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and http://www.screenarchives.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've seen a few others speculated in such a way at the time that I wrote them down, not sure of the actual likelihood of any of them:

The Barefoot Contessa
Captain Harlock: Space Pirate 3D
Cutter's Way
I Want To Live!
The Quiller Memorandum
Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins

There are probably others like I Want To Live! that have upcoming DVD only releases from Kino Lorber that may end up on Twilight Time as blu-rays.

Captain Harlock: Space Pirate 3D (2013) is scheduled for 12/8/15

You're right about Cutter's Way (1981). I thought I had that on the list, but I guess I missed it.

The DVD-only Kino releases (I Want to Live!, Support Your Local Sheriff!, Support Your Local Gunfighter) have yet to be confirmed to my knowledge, but I think it's obvious they're coming.

I can't recall if The Barefoot Contessa, The Quiller Memorandum, and Remo Williams were confirmed or not.
