Weird way for Marvel to announce their long-awaited Hawkeye movie has finally arrived

I realize this is shooting a fish in a barrel, but this cover manages to be both lame and, paradoxically,
quite succinct in describing the overall film. Also, of all shots of the director/actor, why that one?
It looks like he's having an ice-cream headache... as well as resting his cheek against the Golden
Gate Bridge.

Oh man, I think that's a brilliantly horrible cover - smooshing his face into waves to make it look somehow even stupider, like he did to the movie. His name bolded and stretched (only in the other direction!) across the silver panel at the top (doesn't that typically go to the studio/distributor?) kinda seals it

Graphic designer: “um, wouldn’t copyright information usually go somewhere on the back cover?”
Wiseau: “sorry, it’s non-negotiable. And please don’t forget the trademark symbol after the title; my lawyer tells me it’s very important to have that.”

The funniest thing is that The Room wasn’t even considered trademarked in 2013 because
according to the official Patient and Trademark Office website, it was deemed abandoned and thus invalid during the Summer of 2005. Of course Wiseau could’ve applied for another Trademark but this was the only trademark I could find under Wiseau’s name/company. So the decision to trademark the title is just honestly odd. The rest of the cover is pretty good though, don’t know what could be bad about it.

Well... "Can you really trust anyone?" is not really a tagline. More of a paranoiac's lament.

So, once again Paramount blesses us with ugly cover art for the upcoming 4k release of
Chinatown with a vaguely
AI-ish looking Nicholson and Dunaway and keeps the original superior promotional art as an insert... not to mention
throwing in a blu-ray of
The Two Jakes as an afterthought.

I'll be putting my gorgeous Blu slipcover over that...
(mine's the U.S. one sans the UK ratings symbols on the spine)

It looks like they took the original font and made it a bit Comic Sans for the 4K, because that makes sense. I expect to see a title appear that way on the cover of a kooky kids’ Halloween movie, not arguably the greatest.. movie.

I knew this was about Catholics, but not that Tracey Ullman is possessed by Pazuzu.

Is having a plate behind your head supposed to indicate one's sainthood? Odd.

The playing cards are the most egregious thing to me. You couldn’t go buy a deck and photograph them at a closer angle to this? You really only had enough time to use a stock footage image of one and repeat it and warp it every time. It looks crazy. The back left one isn’t even on the table.

Maybe the rights to the poster were even harder to get than for the film itself.

This is really remarkably awful. It looks like every element of the composition has been separately, and badly, photoshopped roughly into place. Nobody's head seems to belong to their neck; nobody's neck seems to belong to their body; nobody's body seems to belong to their arms. It's like a post-modern visual deconstruction of 'Dem Bones'.

Any photoediting software will tell you if your text is off center, I don't even know how this could happen so badly to the title

Also, if there's one thing that poster seems to convey, it's...NOISE.

I think they're confirming
A Quiet Place and Fincher's
the Game exist in the same cinematic universe

Well, to be fair that seems to be the plot (it’s a prequel and no one yet knows that the monsters “see” with their ears). But it is a terrible design job and frankly seems like someone said “whatever, the title sells it anyway”.
