Apparently Arrow's UK site is now charging US-based customers VAT and sales tax. Guess I'll be using Zavvi (all their shipments arrived fine at my MD address) for Arrow orders going forward.

They always were charging VAT (and fortunately my sales tax isn't much). On the other hand, that new website etc etc…

Speaking of Henry, I'm going to assume that that release means The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will also be getting an US UHD from Arrow.

I assume Rogue Cops and Racketeers is a boxed set of either yakuza films, or more poliziotteschi.

Interesting I was convinced HP was for Hotel Poseidon since they've had trailers on their channel and those initials worked. Glad to be wrong.

I was so close to pulling the trigger on Dark Sky's BD of Henry a few times but then the new French disc encoded by David McKenzie came out and I thought, maybe wait a little longer.

Unobstructed View has pictures up of the releases. The Chabrol titles are Swindle, The Color of Lies, Nightcap and The Flower of Evil.

Rogue Cops and Racketeers is an Enzo G. Castellari two-fer of The Big Racket and The Heroin Busters.

Arrow is also release The 8 Diagram Pole Fighter.

The Enzo G. Castellari set is more interesting than the Chabrol set.

Dave Kehr tweeted following the Eustache announcement that "the liberation of Chabrol" should be next on the agenda and Geoff Andrew replied indicating that planned retrospectives have been cancelled, but avoids mentioning the reason.

I'm pretty sure he is referring to it being cancelled due to covid.

Tavernier was also blocked from using clips from Le boucher and Que la bête meure in My Journey Through French Cinema.

I asked Fran if Jacques Rozier or Luc Moullet were possibilities and he responded saying "Don't think they're possibilities moving forward. We've tried to do a few things in this vein but just haven't worked well enough for us. Unfortunately not enough people seem to be interested".

Very disappointing, but kind of what I expected. At least it rules out Moullet as a potential for 'LM BOX'.

I see Henry is a UK only release, so this will not happen. I guess a Second Sight UK UHD for TCM is our only hope.

Rogue Cops is actually a boxset, with two separate cases inside a hardbox

Robocop 4k and Frankenstein delayed to April 12th.

During the most recent Synapse Films podcast, Jerry Chandler mentioned that Synapse was working with Arrow for there release of Tombs of the Blind Dead.

Which suggests the 'TOTBD BOX?' clue is even more likely to include the above (hopefully all 4 films?). Guess I'll have to wait til next year to see Synapse's hard work.
