dvdcompare.net says English subs are on the director's cut and producer's cut but not on the German cut. There is also an English dub option on the director's/producer's cuts.

Arrow would have done it years ago if it had been an option for them, but I seem to recall UK music rights being a then insuperable barrier.

StudioCanal is the UK rightsholder.

I seem to recall the majority of the extras either being in English (the Sylvia Kristel and Noël Simsolo interviews) or with nothing needing translating (Borowczyk's 40-minute film Brief von Paris). Off the top of my head, there was one interview in French with optional German subtitles only, but otherwise I never felt at a linguistic disadvantage.

fair, makes sense with Arrow since they have put out literally every Borowczyk they can get their hands on, seemingly. I have imported Blurays from Asia before but basically none from Europe (only the German mediabook of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel which Orbit got in, and will now be made useless by Deaf Crocodile's edition with you on it coming soon! excited!) so I'd be game to check into this, but considering Criterion seem to be getting to it at some point, may just wait. I speak enough French and German that I could probably make that interview work

Wonder which one of those is the Transmission title. My guess would be the US or Hongkong one.

Transmission has so far been American films only, but we'll see.

Some have suggested the HK title might be a Tsui Hark title, which could be interesting. One person suggested Shanghai Blues, and I mentioned Green Snake as well. Alternatively someone mentioned Patrick Tam's Love Massacre. I'll probably be excited if it's any of those, or none of them.

My prediction for the Spanish title is Almodovar's Matador, as it has been teased a couple of times now and it's surely due an actual announcement.

Italy may be Damiani's Confessions of a Police Captain, or France could be Costa-Gavras' The Confession, since the previous newsletter teased 'a confession'.

I wonder if the HK title could be Johnnie To's Romancing in Thin Air - it would be a great choice and fit the ROM clue.

Tam's Love Massacre would be incredible, but I suspect it's too soon after the restoration premiered. There are also other Tam films - the Wong Kar-Wai-scripted Final Victory (which I think has a HK Blu) and his last to date, After This Our Exile, which I think was finished as a 2K DI.

the Transmission title has already been confirmed to be US, apparently in the new member booklet, Paul Martinovic confirms the TX titles in the first half of the year are all US. so we're looking at

Italy: Confessions of a Police Captain - Daimani is a "Radiance director", CON clue, "next month, a confession!" clue
Hong Kong: Romancing in Thin Air as Calvin mentioned since we have a ROM clue. also Love Massacre since it's been restored/in demand with a marketable star and Radiance love to go back to directors, and the Tam twofer was a big success. outlier? The Arch (1968) which was restored last year by Silver Salt and we still haven't seen a release
France: we have a lot of French clues so who knows, but maybe Histoire(s) du Cinema happens finally
Spain: Matador is most likely here
USA: Transmission title

I think Aimless Bullet, but Nakajima's Aesthetics of a Bullet also fits. maybe we'll get all three

The Rozier set seems to have ported over all feature films and a good chunk of shorts from the Potemkine, and in the meantime excluded the TV works and documentaries by Rozier. Most of the extras make it to the Radiance, including the 60-minute documentary Jacques Rozier, d'une vague à l'autre (which is the only thing labeled "exclusive to the limited edition"--I wonder how that works).

EDIT: I noticed there's a "More TBC" bullet. So basically more material is on the way (possibly to take up that exclusive disc).

Great announcements. Excited for the Rozier, but also Almodovar and To, and will definitely get the Damiani at some point too. Brilliant! Can't keep up this month, maybe I won't pre-order anything for March so I can get more in April.

I did immediately think Aimless Bullet, but someone on the other forum pointed out the 'AOB' clue could be Aesthetics of a Bullet. It's ATG rather than Toei like the other Nakajima titles but you never know (hasn't stopped Fran before, just taken a bit longer to secure them). It won't be A Bullet for the General because Cult Films have UK rights, and I seem to remember someone saying in the recent AMA with Fran he said there's no Spaghetti Westerns lined up (as much as I'd like at least one).

I also just noticed the blurb about the doc being a box set exclusive. Perhaps it'll just be a bonus BD-25 or something? Wonder why that is, maybe a licensing stipulation that forced them to make it exclusive to the box set. I imagine they might add something else to the disc as well to make it worth the while.

That's not an atypical way for companies to get people to pre-order movies and music for many decades now. Lot's of 1st print stuff comes with a "bonus disc". More recently they've been getting less generous and just adding a slipcover or a booklet to bring in early adopters.

Oh, of course—I just picked Indicator because I know for a fact that this marketing decision has nothing to do with licensing restrictions.

To be fair, has Radiance ever even done a standard edition box? If I'm not wrong, the Oshima set is the only one that has sold out, and it is not yet available in a standard configuration to see what that looks like.

The Oshima box is at 80% based on the latest newsletter today, it may get restocked in their store

Matador is spine 174, and the Rozier set ends at 171. Did I miss something? What are 172-173?
