In all honestly, I haven't actually seen the movies, but I still think it's fitting in correspondence to how I believe them to be. I know this isn't saying much, but I can't really think of too many other things they could do with a "war trilogy".

We'll just start again on the new page.

That Paris, Texas cover is probably one of the best in the entire collection! Another movie I haven't seen but really want to.

They must have hired Start Making Sense - the Rossellini cover (presumably for the box, with the individual title artwork still to follow?) looks fantastic, and the Ackerman is one of their nicest Eclipses yet (though I still think they ought to use a screenshot for each film that covers the entire artwork instead of putting tiny caps in the centre).

It looks like they dumped the engineer paper design on the bluray!

That Che cover is going to sell a lot of copies.

I don't know what I was expecting for the packaging for Che...was hoping for something more original and a little less obvious. Paris, Texas is a great cover!

Che cover art is horrendous. Everything else is good to great.

Perhaps that would be possible if the film itself, and its subject, were more original and a little less obvious. Viva Cliche!

Maybe I'm just happy about the releases this month, but I think this is the best month of covers in some time. They managed to 'fix' 8 1/2 and even the obvious Che cover is 'fine'. Paris, Texas and the War Trilogy are brilliant.

Che is the most iconic image known all over the world, you don't need Soderbergh on it because it will sell like hotcakes.

I think the Che cover is probably temp art anyways

In addition to loving every one of this month's releases, I think every cover is excellent. Paris, Texas and the individual War Trilogy covers, especially. Fantastic work Criterion!

I was thinking the same thing. I've been missing his posts in the fake cover art thread, and then I thought, "maybe Criterion actually hired him..."

Only if So Lightly Here stop hijacking the thread we could actually see good or decent work from people.

[nitpickery]Is it just me, or does the leftmost leg on the Paris, Texas billboard look all wrong, perspective-wise? Maybe a bigger image will reveal it's behind an enormous tumbleweed or something. [/nitpickery]

Phenomenal work on the Rossellini set. I dig the Paris, Texas art, too.

Che's art is so-so, but it's bright and will probably sell copies for Criterion, so I'm all for it.

If Bunuel had done Che that would make the perfect cover for it (minus National Lampoon heading)
