Does Adult mean Tinto Brass? Or Bigas Luna?

The Hungarian film was not Szabo's Sunshine, what a pity.

I keep hoping for a release of 25 Firemans Street, which Kino put out on DVD eons ago. Taxidermia is great, though

We already know that they’re releasing Shōhei Imamura’s The Pornographers

Szabó’s been well served on UK Blu-ray over the last couple of months. Other Hungarian directors, not so much (or indeed at all!).

While I may not be excited about the films themselves, it's nice to see the original French titles for the French films this month

But the burning question is if it's plural ("adult films"), will it be another Radical Japan box set?

I recently bought a few OOP Imamura Blus for much more than they used to cost, so you're all welcome if that's the case

Fewer than 100 ratings on IMDB & no reviews. Nice to see neglected titles being resurrected from obscurity.

But somehow Deville movies with many more viewers and much bigger stars are a risky release

It's from the director of Rapacious Jailbreaker and Godfather Trilogy. Maybe they were part of a package deal?

Adult Films + Radical Japan would indicate Wakamatsu, surely?

I like Szabo's cinema and I bought his German trilogy put in UK in december.
MichaelB I don't know the film you mentioned https://www.imdb.com/es-es/title/tt0070847/ but Budapest tales was very good.

More adult than Bigas Luna's The Ages of Lulu I don't know if you can find one, in any country. It's really disgusting.
There was a box with Luna's food trilogy (Golden balls is great) and Lulú in the UK by Tartan.

Now it's a film movement tittle in USA.

There was another Luna's sex trilogy before his 90s movies.
Could it be this? I watched BIlbao and it was very dirty, Caniche means poodle.

I don't think there's any reason to suspect it's Bigas Lunas - the clue already fits a title we know is coming (The Pornographers).

Considering they've been trying for a Terayama for years, I do wonder if Radiance would ever take a punt on Fruits of Passion.

Radiance have found that if you slap Japanese movies on anything (especially if bullets or swords are mentioned), they sell. but I do agree with you, Deville shouldn't be a risk at all

it's very clear to me the "adult movies" clue is for The Pornographers but hey, guess we can keep going. my only question is whether other Imamura come with it - The Exterminating Angel got a confirmation and a newsletter hint just like this and that ended up being a boxset, so we shall see..I personally would love to see Imamura's documentary work come alongside it

Asian cinema is not muy cup of tea, but I remember there was a very funny Japanese comedy about brothels, set in pre WW2.
Is that "adult"?
It was so hilarious, grotesque and so dark that it could be have been made by Italians in the 70s. Risi, Scola, Monicelli, name any of them.

Zegen is one of the lesser-known/shown Imamura feature films. I would say pretty much all his films are "made for adults" but are not "adult films" (even if they have sexy things in them). None of his films are pornographic (IMHO), not even The Pornographers. ;-)

As has already been mentioned more than once, this is overwhelmingly likely to be a reference to The Pornographers, which we know for certain Radiance has.

Ok, thank's, It would be The Pornographers. I was confused because nowadays with censorship on youtube, forums, etc they change and censor words. It's like to live back in the 50s. It's a nightmare.

I saw the premiere of the new restoration of The Pornographers at Berlin, it looked amazing and the film kind of blew me away. Fran was there to present it and confirmed on stage the film would be coming to 4K UHD.

I would've assumed it would be, but great to hear it confirmed. More Imamura in 4K the better!

Would a UHD box be out of the question? I do like boxes for the attention that Radiance puts into them, however if they’re still not economically feasible for uHD, I could settle for a trickle of individual titles instead.
