As a long time collector of soundtracks I will pick this up for the North score alone, as I always wanted to see the music with the visuals. And since I also have never seen the movie, it's an easy buy for me (despite some of the less than stellar comments about it).

It's an absolute embarrassment, but one so fascinating it warrants multiple viewings.

THE RAINS OF RANCHIPUR (1955) BLU-RAY - Nov 13th

BONJOUR TRISTESSE (1958) BLU-RAY - Nov 13th

BELOVED INFIDEL (1959) BLU-RAY - Dec 11th

THE BLUE LAGOON (1980) BLU-RAY - Dec 11th

LOST HORIZON (1973) BLU-RAY - Dec 11th

Lost Horizon graduating from Sony MOD DVD-R to a limited issue Twilight Blu-ray is a compelling precedent. I guess one shouldn't be surprised to see another title or two from Sony's MOD library take this route in 2013.

Did we know Bonjour Tristesse was coming? That seems like a big deal.

Starting in December, it looks like they've stepped up their release rate to three per month.

Good to see that they continue releasing titles I have no interest in. I think it's now safe to say they don't have Punch-Drunk Love, or at least they are not utilising it's 10th anniversary.

I just saw the digital restoration of this, and it's gorgeous.

If I was running a home video label and we put out that Steel Magnolias cover I would shutter the doors and call it a day out of embarrassment. I know TT is a tiny little company but for gods sake just spend the extra cash to license an old poster or something. The whole "faces imprinted upon an MS paint recreation of your grandmother's couch" design is so awful (and is the cover now in addition to the booklet!) that it ought to go straight to our Worst Covers Ever thread. That legendary Beat the Devil cover isn't as bad as this.

Maybe they had these in mind. The similarity is clear, and the difference even more so.

They have altered it now: "Artwork changed last minute--these things happen." it now looks like the booklet art, with the faces.

That's what I was referring to. That original one, now that I've seen it, is somehow even worse. Holy mother of fuck.

Hands up. Who here would be buying this anyway, even with an original Leonardo Da Vinci as the cover?

My wife wants it so I will be buying it. But she agrees either cover sucks.

I'm a Twilight Time completist, so I have to buy it.

Include me out! No more Herbert Ross for me for some time.
Having just viewed THE SEVEN PERCENT SOLUTION again, for the first time since its initial release, was more than sufficient reminder to me of his cinema.

So they're releasing the remake of NOTLD without any indication on the cover that it's not the original?

There is some slight indication with the choice of zombie, but even I had to take a second to think about it.

Yeah, it's a bit misleading, but since it's an online only exclusive I doubt many will buy it with the false concept of it being the 1968 film.

The Enemy Mine cover is kinda great in an 80s-cheeseball way.

Nothing false about the NOTLD cover. Just... vague.
