I remember being quite excited about this movie when I first heard about it, but now I can hardly recall much (although it's been a year since I saw it). Maybe my thoughts will change if I were to watch it again sometime but from memory, I remember thinking of it as quite dreamlike in its segments, kind of clumsy in its satire, a bit Teenage Apocalypse-esque in its tone (coincidentally both cases I tried to like it a lot more than I ultimately did), and attempting to be surreal and yet accomplishing so little in that regard, the titles and chapter segments being the film's highlight alongside the cinematography (which makes sense considering it was directed by a cinematographer) is a telling sign about the film.
I'm not familiar with Pinkerton or his online presence, but I'm gonna assume this is reflective of much of his oeuvre. Despite my thoughts, I don't want this film to be shoved under the radar, it has the makings of that sort of cult film in the future I fully expect this to gain traction among my demographic, the kind they would find reflective of the circles they've been around.
