I’m very pleased with Junk Head and Mad God. Full Body Massage was one of the most unexpected releases of the year, and I’m so glad to finally have Warm Water Under a Wet Bridge

I’m STILL holding onto my 2000 disc of Nightmare Before Christmas, as the 4K dropped a ton of special features, including a different commentary and Vincent. Only including the 1984 Frankenweenie in SD is frankly unacceptable

I secondly this a lot but I don’t this counts as an upgrade since there are a couple of new extras (or at least ones absent from other releases) so I believe this should go towards Beat Overall Release.

To me an upgrade would generally be a release that the label had already put out before where the primary draw is the new transfer. But I guess for practical purposes the Best Upgrade category also works as a kind of lower tier Best Release category, to give worthy slim releases a chance in a category where they don't have to compete against lavish boxsets and the like. If it were up to me I'd put some of those first-time Arrow releases in Best Overall as opposed to Best Upgrade, but majority rules.

For now, I've put Kids in the In Limbo section

I figured Kids worked best as upgrade due to the new scan being the standout feature aside from the doc, but it’s really the whole release so a nom for best release feels appropriate
