The Green Butchers is such a great choice. One of the funniest and meanest sweetie pies of a film you’ll find with my second favorite Mikkelsen performance after another Jensen collab.

Beavers' Early Monthly Segments. Is it eligible?

I had that as 1970, but I suppose it makes sense to move it to 2003, which appears to be when it first screened. Are there any other Beavers films in upcoming years that you think you would similarly ask about?

Maybe Pitcher of Colored Light?

Also, could you add Dream of Silk?

Pitcher was already there for 2007. I've added the other film

Added. And what a film!

Speaking of shorts, have you seen Papillon d'amour? And Fast Film? And Time Streams?

If any short gets my vote for 2003, it will be Salvador Dali's animation for Disney, Destino finally completed in 2002 and released in 2003.(Also included as a bonus feature on Fantasia 2000 blu-ray).

Papillon d'amour was excellent, thanks for suggesting it. Time Streams was also very good.
Would you add Fruhauf's Structural Filmwaste. Dissolution 2? He's slowly becoming one of my favorite filmmakers.

Extremely entertaining film, it was recently put out on Blu by Sony (I have the French blu). Not “art” in the slightest but a kind of film that is hard to do well regardless

Some intriguing titles in that list to check out but seemingly no way to watch them.
I'd particularly like to see

If you mean physical media, I can't help, but there are rips out there.

Before I keep forgetting to ask for my #1, could you add John Sayles’ Casa de los Babys?

Thanks for reminding me of a film I’ve seen but had forgotten. Nonetheless, I don’t remember being wowed by it.

Waititi's Two Cars, One Night is just about perfect--for anyone with 11 minutes to spare. Will definitely make my list.

Could you add Ivan Maximov’s Slow Bistro? It’s probably his best film. It’s also possibly the best conveyance of boredom in all its forms without actually being boring.

Collage d'Hollywood (on Black Zero's Richard Kerr: Crisis Collision Resolve)
