So actually, I was just able to successfully place an order for this. Perhaps they'll cancel it, but if the US subscription excludes some titles then I'd rather have this one

That'd be good to get some clarification on this (unless I missed it).

Will the US subscription have the same number of titles or fewer? If it's the latter, the US subscription should in theory be cheaper if the titles they're contractually barred from releasing in the US are not replaced by US exclusives to make the total number of titles offered in the subscription match the UK figures.

Maybe I missed something, but I don’t see the restriction that says UK residents only. It says 50 packages are offered in the UK and 50 in the US (currently not yet active), but I don’t see that it says the person ordering has to be a resident of either the UK or the US.
Did I miss this?

It apparently doesn't matter, as Fran just emailed saying it was okay for me to place the order! Note: It came to £1,333.33 after VAT removal. No additional shipping charge

Great, thanks for confirming swo - I got the exact same price.
Excellent start and I’m looking forward to these releases and hopefully many more equally interesting ones.

Woah, so does this mean one gets every single release for three years? Sounds like a great deal compared to other labels' plans, though I've admittedly never looked too hard into them

Yes, every release for the first 3 years estimated to be about 125 for the price of about 100 plus some extra goodies along the way. There may be some special releases or non Radiance branded ones that are not part of the deal, but presumably everything with a spine number is included.
Of course not everyone has $1500 lying around, but if you can afford it, I think it’s a great deal (especially since international shipping is included and VAT deducted).

Will this package include everything you release?

- No, we plan on having other non-Radiance branded products, select merchandise and other products that won't be included. Additionally, where any Radiance product is created with multiple variants we will choose one to be included and this will be notified in the Discord Group and Newsletter. But throughout the period there will be exclusive products and merchandise that will be included and these will also be notified through the Discord and Newsletter.

I couldn't resist the 3 year Gold Package. I have time to start clearing off a shelf in anticipation.

Huh, looks like it comes out to over $1600 USD for me, but still a good deal I'll probably jump on

It shows up on my credit card for $1,557.85. I always kind of regretted not jumping on the Arrow US subscription package, and this looks like it will have a lot more interesting titles. (Which of course means it's bound to fail in a year 8-[ )

Yeah PayPal has an terrible conversion rate. I've stopped using it for international purchases when I can.

Mine shows as $1553, but I have a credit card that doesn’t charge international conversion fees, many cards do. But PayPal is the absolute worst.

Will be interesting to compare it to the recent US release, sadly both are simply "high definition scans" rather than better source material or restorations.

Isn't Radiance expected to use better encoders for their releases, and if so, shouldn't this affect the presentation regardless of source?

I'm just noticing these have spine numbers:

01 The Working Class Goes to Heaven
02 The Man on the Roof
03 Welcome to the Dollhouse
04 The Sunday Woman
05 Miami Blues
06 Red Sun
07 She Dies Tomorrow
08 A Woman Kills
09
10 Fill 'er Up with Super
11
12 Big Time Gambling Boss

really good slate, nice spread of countries and genres. some of these films really have something around 100 views on Letterboxd, appreciate the obscurity. I wish I had the cash to spring for the 3 year bundle...but the monthly ones will suffice. for those on the fence, Fran did say they will only do them continually depending how the January does. so if you're on the fence, please pull the trigger!
Awesome Welles wrote: Thu May 03, 2007 11:26 am I do hope Paramount will license The Mattei Affair, it's my number one film I'm waiting for on DVD.

Oh and should someone need any artwork ideas, I think this is a great poster (see my avatar).
I was wondering if this or Il Posto was going to be spine #1 - when he then posted the Instagrams of the magazines, I then thought Todo Modo. somehow a Palme d'Or winner from the same director totally elluded me. hopefully he ends up releasing all four movies honestly, all desperately need a Bluray release (that Mattei Affair post is from 2007, if anyone is wondering) - as it stands Working Class has a really fantastic package, and it'll come right in time for our 1971 project!

Mackenzie is doing it. plus the cover art and extras are all an improvement

and as it appears, January's slate will be #1 and #12, so he's already no stranger to messing around with the numbering ala Indicator (which I welcome)

personally excited to see where he goes next with Japan. Big Time Gambling Boss is a Toei title, so now gotta look at what they have

Tempted to hold off on pre-ordering Miami Blues and A Woman Kills for the February bundle next month. Miami Blues is hopefully not going to sell all 3k limited editions in the next four weeks (famous last words!). I noticed it said Artwork TBC but I think this placeholder cover is fantastic.
