I was refreshing my memory on why the guesses of
Altered States and I assume
this is the reason, but they said one of these is coming and that was the
Child's Play movies.
it was, but
Altered States is surely the kind of thing Arrow
should be licensing from WB. a director in their wheelhouse and a previously unavailable movie that's actually attainable (cause people need to let
The Devils go already)
mind you, I'm not a fan of Ken Russell or Linklater, but I can recognize both would be more ideal licenses than these big budget throwaways that don't seem to have a lot of defenders

I guess the question is what WB titles are left that they would be willing to license (not released on Blu by WAC or not The Devils) that 1) are exiting/interesting/good-great films; 2) that the current Arrow would be interested in; 3) that haven't already been picked up by Criterion or Shout ('though UK only releases of Shout titles are certainly possible and, frankly would make more sense than the WB titles that Arrow has announced so far)?
surely some of those Shout titles will be carried over. I don't think they'll pass up a chance at more De Palma titles, for example. I'm trying to think personally of stuff they'd go for that Criterion wouldn't, or hasn't.
Zabriskie Point seems like an obvious one, but it's also the kind of title Criterion may have just sat on for ages. it's tough to say, as I would've never imagined them getting some of the titles they did from the Paramount deal, but I'm now really grateful Arrow licensed them instead of Kino. the big difference is this deal has been US/UK so far, so it seems it basically has to be stuff that Criterion nor Shout have released

Altered States is something that Arrow would definitely go for. It is also something that Shout would have gone for if it were available. That's what makes it kind of difficult to guess what Arrow has and the ones they've announced so far aren't exactly filling me with confidence that anything good is actually going to be a part of the deal. Would be nice if Arrow teased a good film, even if the release is a ways off.

that's very true. hopefully we start seeing some WB teases in the postcards soon, though my copy of The Shootist came with a card for Ringu...which has already been out for a little bit, so they may be behind
if the titles are all of this caliber I'm not sure why they'd sign the deal in the first place. not to mention these Titan titles don't really have a whole lot in the way of new features either, which would of course be a reason to release them

I'd certainly be in the market for an Arrow release of Altered States, but given that it's already available in HD I'm hoping that Arrow picked up the Warner Russells that are MIA - Lisztomania and Savage Messiah. I suspect the odds are quite long though.
I do wonder if Arrow have managed to get any of the Tsui Hark titles that Warner have. I think they have The Blade, The Lovers, and Love in the Time of Twilight.

My guesses for Friday are Little Shop of Horrors and Last Stop in Yuma County. Maybe Excalibur?

The image that GeekGab posted is just him cropping a picture that leaked last year showing the 4K packaging for both
Little Shop and
Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. Interestingly there was a post from last year from Bill Hunt, where he claimed that Frank Oz confirmed that a 4K was coming from WB.

I’ve seen someone posting a photo of the soundtrack CD of Children of Men on X / Twitter and it’s closely matching the eclipse seen in the Arrow hint. Would take a 4K in a heartbeat if it’s indeed coming even after their excellent BD. IMDB lists that the film has a 4K DI.

I figured it was
Sunshine but
Children of Men works too. both are very sensible Arrow releases and I'm sure they could get a lot out of each edition. haven't revisited either movie in ages, I must admit

Isn’t Sunshine still with Fox/Disney? Based on this overview page it doesn’t look too good that we’re getting a re-release anytime soon:

The clues obviously refer to the following made up films:
Miklos Moresco's Toadstool Galaxy Invaded By The Running Reader (1987)
Skibidi Scott's Coldlock Time: Exploding Swords 2 (2017)
Yosuke Yakashima's Castle of Loving Detectives Crescent Skeleton (1967)

Watch the first one be a 4K edition of that Adam Sandler Pixels movie

Did WB release the Emoji Movie, I’m sure that was at the top Arrow’s list if so based on their recent choices

My first thought for the third clue is Ladyhawke.

It would fit their model of being out already on Blu, but it’s actually good so maybe not

My best guess for #1 is a body snatchers movie; since they've already released the 1978 version and the 1956 version is under license to other companies in the US (Kino Lorber) & UK (BFI), could be Body Snatchers (1993) or The Invasion (2007).

It can't be Pumpkinhead because that's with Second Sight.

I’m making a prediction for Rob Zombie’s Halloween mainly because they’ve released a couple of remakes over the past couple of months and it would pair well with their release of the Friday the 13th remake.

UK announcements were
The Exorcist III UHD
The Exorcist II Blu-ray
So a Morgan Creek title and another WB title that has a Scream Factory release in the US.

Credit to MifuneFan from the other forum for finding this but Cliff MacMillan confirmed in a
interview that he had signed a deal with WB for 27 films. So far it looks like 7 films from the deal have already been announced, so another 20 remain.
EDIT: Cliff just confirmed that UK only releases weren't a part of the original deal, so it looks like 22 titles sill remain alongside the separate deal for UK only releases.
